Deficit Spending has been with us since our country's founding. The so called budget surplus was a figment of Clinton's imagination, that figure was the money they could have borrowed but didn't. There has NEVER been a budget surplus in this country since WW II.
The combined annual budget deficits total the national debt, or, money borrowed from the Federal Reserve banks on the credit of the U.S. The entire amount (that's 100%) collected by the IRS in income tax goes directly to the Federal Reserve banks to pay (only) the interesdt on that debt. The principle ain't NEVER going to be paid.
The U.S. Government operates day to day on import taxes, excises and tarrifs.
Bush is doing what every other president has done.
If you want the real story read the Congressional Financial Abstract, don't listen to party headquarters (either one).

Pres. Bush had a $5.6 Trillion budget surplus when he entered the office. Ten years is all it took to reverse that into debt. It is a shame, don't you think? Funding of Iraq and Afghanistan gets $100 billion a year! How about giving us health care, Mr. Bush? How about taking care of America first you pompous boob? No, I agree. What has he done for us? Oh yeah, tax cuts for the wealthy. Thanks for nothing!
