I think so. Rumsfeld left with the right perspective, that he did what he thought was best and now they need a fresh vision. I think Bush made a good choice for the replacement. He not only offers criticism like so many other people do, but he also has some interesting solutions and understands what got us there.

Bush has no goal in Iraq.

However, it will better help the adults, such as the Baker commission and the Dems, work towards better results in the field. It might be too late to salvage the situation though. Whether or not the country is in a full-blown civil war now really just comes down to semantics.

No it wont, BUSH is trying to avoid Impeachments of himself because Rumsfeld, Bush, and Cheney were all in bed with Saddam before the latest Bush invasion. Remember when Saddam called Jr. Bush a criminal? Well here is why: http://stream.paranode.com/imc/portland/images/2003/12/276084.jpg

NO! it is now in the hands of the much more intelligent democrats....and James Baker (although he too is a rep), once again the dems have to shovel crap to save the reps.

At least he won't be an obstacle.

It certainly won't hurt. Rummy overstayed his welcome long ago.
