There has always been conflict in the middle east, major companies closing to make way for the company of the future, and so on and so forth. Why do we (Americans) still care. Wouldn't all the ongoing problems teach us to say "Whoa some bombs fell in Isreal and the Isrealites fought back, that's as new as water.

Seems like whenever I try to bring up a serious topic, to spark an actual debate, people shoot me down. To quote a popular saying in my area, "Shot down quicker than a scud over Tel Aviv." Is it that people don't see what I'm aiming at?

to set the record straight, I'm not looking for a free education. I looked into "financial aid" just to look into it. So many Democrats told me it was easy to get a Pell Grant, and I found out it wasn't. And this was before the war in Iraq.
Now I can't even get Stafford Loans because my husband makes too much. So it looks like community college for me.
But the point is, people on here are too quick to tell someone off. Why can't people just be nice and helpful for a change?

powerful terrorist organizations throughout the world desire to see the United States and Israel wiped off the map. If they acquire the nuke we are done, and it's plain to see that countries such as north Korea or Pakistan could easily supply them. this is getting serious and we need to lay off Bush. Kerry and Hillary voted and wanted this too though they are not president. Wake up people! You all agree?

I am against any form of terrorism, be it used as a form of war or for whatever purposes. However, I also abhor the means by which trigger-happy GeoBlair and the Israelis are fighting against it.

Bombing civilian quarters and destroying infrastructures with F-16s from above is anything but fighting the terrorists. The terrorists are invisible, that's why it is the civilians who are being killed in greater numbers. And Lebanon is being bombed 20-30 years backwards in its developement. The only outcome of this wanton destruction is a new breed of Hezbolla would be born again. And a new cycle begins.

So, if I do not agree with Bush's "tactics" in Lebanon, does that mean I support terrorism? This is what I dislike in Bush: ARROGANCY, SUPREMACY!

Analysing the ROOT CAUSES of the problems in the Middle East and finding a lasting solution to it is the only road map to peace, anything else is just Bushing and Blairing around.

Israel :give back to the Arabs their OCCUPIED LANDS.

Let's say after six to eight years of school, I've gotten a good education. But the down side is, I owe about 50,000 in student loans. So even before I start out, I've got what amounts to another mortgage payment every month.
So I get a job that pays about 100,000 a year. That means I fit into the whole "tax the rich" idea. And next thing you know, my take-home salary ends up being 60,000. But I'm not living like the rich -- I'm living middle class. I'm a doctor, or a professor, or a publisher. But I'm living the same as someone with a two-year degree.
Is that fair?
