swift and severe retribution for all bastards. if you purposefully attack innocent people, anyone, anywhere, you will be beaten and tortured as long as possible, and so will your entire family. this would eliminate the need for any armies.

I am not sure there is much anybody at this point can do to make Isreal and Lebanon stop their overblown spitting match. There needs to be an objective outsider to decide if this spitting match is becoming too big to keep it localized to one small kilometre of space, for example (everybody out of the pool!) ... now it looks like Iran, Syria and other nations are wanting to join in the fun.

Economic sanctions have limited effectiveness, particularly as the US is no longer going to be the only economic superpower ... they will simply turn away from the US and go to somebody else who won't might mind roughing it up a little.

I almost wouldn't WANT the power to do anything about these miscreant nations. I just don't think there's a lot that can be done.

First, the war isn't between Lebanon and Israel. It's between Hezbollah, a terrorist group, and Israel.

Seeing how both Israel and Lebanon benefit from the distruction of Hezbollah, if I was the most powerful person in the world, I'd make sure that Hezbollah was destroyed.

I will ask for the FACTS of the case. What Is the issue of wars.
Facts: Israel is occupying part of Lebanon
Israel have kidnapped Lebanese and moved them to Israel
Issue: Do Lebanon have the right to work for ending Occupation
of their land
Do Lebanon have the right to work for the release of
kidnapped Lebanese by Israel.
Resolution: Peace negotiations amid at ending occupation and the release of both Israelis and Lebanese now and if both countries do not agree i will kick both out of UN we do not need both of them.

Hezbollah has been trained for years by the Iranian government, and funded by Syria and Iran. Iran wants a nuke (period) Iran wants the entire world to ONLY be muslim, if you are not Muslim...then you will no longer be needed on planet earth. Iran believes that the MESSIAH will not return until the great satan ( The U.S. and Israel) are destroyed. Hezbollah is the "stick" by which Syria and Iran are using to poke Israel in the eye with, so that Israel will call on the U.S. to help and the "war" will start. The Nuke is for the rest of us...including you, my friend. That is why Hezbollah does not target military hardware...they want to kill as many "zionists" and "gentiles" as possible. They only pretend to be primitive in using their weapons, saying..."we can't really "aim' these...only hit what we can, when we can !
Make no mistake...this is a giant "CHESS GAME" thought out by the Islamic clerics in Iran for years, in yet "another" attempt to control the world.

Hezbollah launched a new kind of rocket Friday that made the deepest strike into Israel yet,

Hezbollah's launching of the new weapon unnerved Israelis, 500,000 of whom are already living in northern shelters because of rocket bombardments. The rocket firing was also likely to escalate a conflict now in its 18th day,

With Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice heading back to the Middle East this weekend to make a second attempt to resolve the crisis

Eight Israelis died fighting for control of Bint Jbail on Wednesday, the highest toll of the campaign.
Bint Jbail had the largest Shiite community along the border; it was known as the ''capital of the resistance'' during Israel's 1982-2000 occupation because of its vehement support for the Shiite Hezbollah

On the Israeli side, 33 soldiers have died in fighting, and Hezbollah rocket attacks on northern Israel have killed 19 civilians, the Israeli army said.Hezbollah said its guerrillas attacked Israeli troops on a ridge overlooking Bint Jbail and in Maroun al-Ras, a nearby villages that Israeli troops overran last weekend. The guerrillas said five Israeli soldiers were wounded

The guerrillas said they used the Khaibar-1 — named after the site of a historic battle between Islam's Prophet Muhammad and Jewish tribes in the Arabian peninsula — to strike the Israeli town of Afula.
''With this, the Islamic Resistance begins a new stage of fighting, challenge and confrontation with a strong determination and full belief in God's victory,'' Hezbollah said in a statement

Wait for Isreal to finish off Lebanon and then step in to say, "hey everyone, stop it!"

I would start huge economic sanctions and trade limitations against Israel, shut them off from the rest of the world until they stop their terrorism.

Well they all tried appeasement and negotiation for decades and all they got in return was more and more violence. So now I would just beat them until they got the message that they must live with tolerance for other religions. And, given their past lies, they would have to disarm and dismantle their nuclear program to prove it. I wouldn't believe them now if they said the sun would come up tomorrow morning.
