From the Eighth century forward, the Semitic peoples (Jews and Arabs) lived together in relative harmony. Some of the finest minds of the time came from this group of people. They contributed greatly in the sciences (metallurgy, optics, math, astronomy). Algebra is an arabic term. Then somewhere along the way, things broke down, and we have this archaic 7th century barbarism that calls for wholesale slaughter of people who don't belive like you do. (ref: Europe during the Inquisition).

ISRAEL’S actions in Lebanon faced fresh international criticism last night after a United Nations base overlooking the border was hit by an Israeli bomb, killing up to four observers in its bunker,A Lebanese official said the observers at the base were from China, Canada, Austria and Finland.
Kofi Annan, the UN Secretary-General, condemned the attack and called for an investigation. “I am shocked and deeply distressed by the apparently deliberate targeting by Israeli Defence Forces of a UN observer post in southern Lebanon,” Mr Annan said. “This co-ordinated artillery and aerial attack on a long established and clearly marked UN post at Khiam occurred despite per sonal assurances given to me by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that UN positions would be spared Israeli fire,” he added.

This is not a political question about Israel or Pakistan, in general, does anybody think if our military developes a weapon, we should keep it for our military and ours alone. I don't like the idea of seeing F-16's in someone elses military

THE fanfare marking yesterday’s arrival of the first American aid to Lebanon was scorned by Esam Haider and 2,000 fellow refugees living in an underground car park after their homes were bombed by Israel. Mr Haider, aware of recent reports that the US was accelerating the delivery of new missiles to Israel, was furious. “Why does President Bush send billions of dollars of weapons to Israel and hands the Lebanese a few boxes of food and blankets?” the 24-year-old chef asked :

“Is he just trying to fatten us up before he gives Israel bigger bombs to kill us?” he said as his nine-month old daughter slept on the concrete floor of the vast supermarket car park in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
