Do you feel ashamed for what we we are capable of doing to other humans to satiate our lust for power and hate?

Our inablility to see how those who suffer feel?

Our inablity to care for all without prejudice and help out those who are suppressed?

It is appauling to see how so many people on Yahoo! celebrate suffering of others as though it were something to be smug about!

Israel has a number of goals in its current attacks, the ultimate one being fooling the Americans into another war for Israel, this time against Syria. The most feasible goal, however, is water. With the connivance of the Americans, Israel is resisting calls for any kind of ceasefire or negotiated settlement, as that would prevent Israel from achieving its real goal of seizing southern Lebanon, including control over the water in the Litani river (some of which is already being stolen by the Israelis).

And I don't mean a volatile and shaky co-existence as they are currently "enjoying" - blaming and massacring each other based on their "mutually justifiable excuses" for their inhumane actions. … And if NOT, when do you think the world will be sufficiently saturated with them both to say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH (as in, live in peace or perish before you end up wiping all the rest of us out too in the process)?

Isn't it funny how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures’?

So burning the American flag is legal say the courts; but that does not mean we can't regulate it? The only thing about regulation is that it can't be so honerous as to make the act illegal. So I propose a simple law:

1. Burn a flag with out a permit and its an automatic 5 year prison sentence; so get a permit.

2. Permits cost $25, can be obtained by anyone with proper identification. A photo copy and digital scan of your ID is required.

3. Permit is for a 24 hour period to burn away;

4. After permit is used the photo ID and day of the flag burning is added to a national database online for all too see.

This way we can see who burns the American flag and maybe there should be room on the permit application to say why and that could be included in the online display. The $25 fee should cover this pretty easy.

This would make a great database of people I'd never hire, do business with, or vote for - ever - what do you think?

I'm refering to the politicians and "big" people calling the shots...
The masses can be... well... overwhelming yet i consider myself to be more educated than any of the ppl that run my country. Why are we letting them rob and humiliate us?

What are we the masses?
