if there was a world war including usa china and russia and other powers. who do you think would go on whose side.meaning for example east fighting west or something like that

Well what im trying to mean here is, like if you want to call International places the call rates differ from each country. I want to know why is it like that and who regulates and sets the charges per minute for these all? Im also wondering that its not even distance wise, because even many countries far away from US will have 3 cents a minute, wheareas some countries close by would be more expensive per minute.
How does all these things work? Who sets the call rates and why does it differ? What things are considered before setting a call rate for a particular country? I tried to think a lot but it doesnt make any proper sense or logic behind all this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

... most of the Americans asking and answering questions in this room are very superficial and holding unbalanced (biased) and overly simplistic viewpoints? I really need a robust explanation because this issue is overwhelming me these days.

p.s.: I am not American and do not live in the USA, but I think the language I've used to phrase this question is relatively tough for many people here in the room because most Americans are terrible at English (my personal and online experiences helped me imply so). Anyway, I think this is a good point because it can ensure that the ones who'll dare answer this question are not gonna be just some brainless, low-education people. I need real strong answers. Be honest, both have their misgivings (we dont need to name them all.) But which man (and they are both just men, just trying to do what they think is right) would you prefer to be leading our nation on that day. Forget about the aftermath, Iraq et al, on that day, your gut feeling, who would have done a better job.

They scream about social injustice, They whine about the evils of corporate America, but then so many I know support the largest most evil industry known to man. Big Tobacco. Thoughts?

By the way I am conservative and don't smoke cigarettes. I do indulge in a good cigar and a cold beer whenever possible. I drink Nat Lite at home, so don't label me snotty. An ****** I can handle, but not a snob.

I saw the video clip on CNN and although many are viewing it as improper for diplomats and world leaders to act this way, I see it differently. It seemed to me there was some private joke there as Angela Merkel had a silly smirk on her face after Bush did that. Was this diplomats just being normal people and caught on tape, or was this improper and/or rude? Please give me your input!

There is no terrorism in poor places like Latin America, most of Africa, Asia.

Terrorists like Mohammad Atta were from well-to-do families. Mohammad Atta was an engineer who moved from Egypt to Germany. Only when he began going to mosques (in Germany!) did he become a terrorist.

The 19 hijackers were given visas to come to America because we accept people of every country. Those 19 hijackers did not come from poverty.

Neither did the 4 young men who bombed the London trains and bus. Neither did the men who bombed the Madrid trains.

Poverty does not cause terrorism.

Islam causes terrorism.

You don't see poor people in Ecuador blowing up buildings, buses and trains.

Remember that in the past Israel occupied Lebanese territories.....By the way those land where Israel is located is not their land, formerly Arabs were there, so in my opinion that land belongs to Arabs. Isreal was formed in 1948 by the support of US, and Israelis had many wars against Arabs in the region.....What is your opinion?

Liberal Democrats have dominated big American cities since the late 1960s when they instituted their discredited policies.

Rampant crime and high taxes drove away the middle class. Destruction of classic neighborhoods for public housing took a toll.

Now, Blacks and poor people are subjugated to inferior schools.

Republicans want to give the underpriviliged money to go to schools of their choice (private and religious schools) but Democrats are tools of the teacher unions.

Democrats are tools of the teacher unions and don't care about poor kids!!

Onerous regulations and taxes have driven away jobs and businesses.

Only when a Republican like Rudy Giuliani becomes mayor of New York does a city get turned around, lowers crime, attracts residents, increases tourism.

American cities should stop being run like failed European socialist cities.

If private school was good enough for Chelsea Clinton why is Hillary Clinton against poor people getting the same chance?
