Iraq had no army, navy, air force or missile systems capable of threatening Europe, much less North America.

The claim that Iraq was a (military) threat to the US was a lie from the very beginning. With or without WMD's, Iraq posed no threat to the US.

Iraq was a safe harbor for terrorists. Saddam practiced genocide against other Iraqis. The regime needed removal! Before you condem anyone's involvememt there talk to the men and women in uniform who have served there and actually seen what is going on. I have! They are united in the belief that US presence is both beneficial and required!

Did you forget that Al Zarkawi was part of the al queda network and he and his minions were in Iraq before we invaded? They were definitely part of 9/11 and they fled Afghanistan and were welcomed by Saddams sons in Iraq. We could have ignored this and let al queda grow stronger in Iraq, let Saddam continue to sell oil to his friends for a lot more then food, and eventually we'd have suffered another al queda attack for doing so.
