And I don't mean a volatile and shaky co-existence as they are currently "enjoying" - blaming and massacring each other based on their "mutually justifiable excuses" for their inhumane actions. … And if NOT, when do you think the world will be sufficiently saturated with them both to say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH (as in, live in peace or perish before you end up wiping all the rest of us out too in the process)?

the problem with 99% of you that you dont get it!!!!
Muslims and Jews never had a problem and there wasn't a war going on for 1000s of years like people say.
the Jews lived ALL OVER the middle east. there are Jews in Morocco,Tunisia,Algeria and there were Jews in Egypt until 1956, there were Jews in Palestine before Israel ever existed and there are Jews in Syria and Lebanon, there were Jews in Yemen and Iraq.
the Jewish people have ALWAYS lived among Muslim and Christians all over north Africa and the middle east.
the conflict started when Israel came into existence as they were invaders to the Arabs. Israel occupied land from ALL her neighbors!!!!
the conflict is political not religious. the thing with Muslims is that whenever they go to war or fight an enemy they rely on god that's why you see them carrying religious slogans and things like that.
but like i said Muslims Jews and Christians have always lived together in peace.
when Israel stops exterminating the Palestinian people and gives up ALL the occupied land back to the Syrians and Palestinians then may be they can live in peace but until then Israel will remain an enemy (political enemy)

Jews cannot let muslims leave peacefully and on their own. Jewish nation is the nation who killed the Prophets sent by the God and being limited in numbers, they hold the God's rath. Therefore unless and until they will be eventually wiped off by muslims when Jesus (A.S.) will come and helped muslims in killing them, only then there will be eternal peace in this world. Of course it will happen before the end of the world.
The biggest reason of the world unrest is the existence of Israel.

Provide both live in a religion neutral state... that is not the case... Israel is an exclusive state for jews with an arab muslim majority! So they wish the Arabs dead, try to keep them in concentration camps, hate them suppress them and when they get a slap back... also call them terrorists! In the neighbourhood most states are Kingdoms... strong allies of US! The one that was a democracy and multi ethnic with equal christians and muslims has just been bombed by Israel. Bravo!!

I do not believe it possible. How do you establish peace and tranquility between two peoples that hate each other? You don't!
I believe there will always be instability and war in the middle east. They will eventually destroy each other. They are rapidly working on the tools to do so and once obtained, there is no doubt they will be used.

If Israel ceases to exists, I doubt Muslims would have any reason to dislike Jews. After all, if their land isn't being stolen, there will be nothing that irks them.

YES: check history and you'll see there was no problem betweeen jews and arabs BEFORE jews stole arab land.
Simple math: return the land and you'll be back to that age of peace.
