If you are talking about governing world leaders, my lord, I can't even think of any to nominate.
Nelson Mandela is probably the greatest figure of the 20th century, but is living out his last days in deserving peace. That leaves two former U.S. presidents who are greatly respected around the world for their post presidential activities in the areas of peace, human rights and humanitarian causes: Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
For those of you who hit the roof at their names and politics, hesitate a second, and divorce their presidential politics from the question asked.
