Yes they will. Why? well military enlistments are predominantly republicans. Different set of values and usually under a Left wing administration military suffers ,Cuts and lack of use is also a factor. Just think about this! the way the liberals have been going with anti war, military and not to mention Kerry and Mertha with comments who would think military could look to the Left?
Why are enlistments mostly republican? well think about it,what do you read in news papers and see on the news? Who is the anti war movement? in large...most young libs are against military use. If you fail to see that or if anyone does then they are surly only interested in there ideas and not reality

not sure what you mean by support but here goes: the rank and file military lean a little to the right because it's the republicans who usually give them raises. and if the enlisted get a dime the officers get 15 cents if you catch my drift. so the enlisted most likely will support republican but on the broad range of issues military tend to be just as diverse as the general public.
the top military brass will support republicans because they have all been installed by don rumsfeld. he doesn't take to kindly to discension and he has basically removed anyone who has bad mouthed him, the war or the administration. he has set up a system of yes men that will allow him to run the war how he see fit without that pesky nuisance 'reality' getting in the way.

I would. If the Democratic party keeps putting the military down and voting to not support them. I can't believe how many Democrats have forgotten how they felt on 9/11. They were all gong ho on riding the world of these terrorist and now because it's getting close to presidential elections they feel the need to put down the military and the president for doing what the US public wanted after 9/11.

the military, overall is not a political entity. the US army is an all volunteer army. which means the people wearing those uniforms know what they're doing, and why they're doing it and that they may die. and as US citizens they have the right to vote republican, democrat, or whatever, they can even write in candidates, that doesn't mean they have any more sway over or say in either party just because they're in the military.

Yes.. The republicans have always been about war and military spending. The Democrats and Independants care more about domestic security and economic/financial stability of the nation. The republicans with all their military spending provide job security for the military no matter how pathetically wasteful it is for US taxpayers.

The military, officially, doesn't support any candidate, from either party. Those who serve in the military do, and by in large, they tend to support republicans because it is the republicans that tend to increase spending for the military. Democrats tend to decrease spending for the military.

The officers are, by and large, Republican so they will probably support whoever is the Republican nominee.

Give it a rest. Go out and find a brain already!!!
The military complex and each and every airman, marine, soldier and sailor support the OFFICE of the Presidency...NOT necessarily the man currently holding that office.
(Incidentally, I'm not given to political correctness - give it up with that crap already - and I DID include every WOman in uniform in my statement.)

I think they will. The military wants to know they're still doing the right thing overseas. As long as the '08 candidate supports them, I think the troops will respond in kind.
