with the way republicans and Bush ruined the economy from inflation to record unemployment to not raising the minimum wage to outsourcing jobs and letting WalMart take over the country, how many decades are necessary to repair it ?

I am sure the republicans appreciate your compliment. But they would probably humbly tell you that Slick Willie's administration pushed GATT-NAFTA through congress. Yes, it was one of us, a democrat, that passed the legislation enabling massive outsourcing of jobs. And it was lucky that the first effects did not show up until 2000, when Bush could get the blame. But I do not think our party has the knowledge of how to salvage the economy. But I sure know the republicans do not know, either. It seems as though the economy is "faltering forward" and doing a little better.
I think we will be better able to answer "how long will it take" when we win the next election. If we can find someone with the vision of a Roosevelt in our midst it may be sooner than we think!

Wow. SPIN. check the figures again. Is everything wonderful, no, but we're doing pretty good. So where to start. Outsourcing jobs? What? Last I heard was corporations control that, not government. Raise Minimum wage? Tax on middle class business owners. Record unemployment? Actually dropped, a bit.

It sounds like people are lining up at the soup kitchens. I wonder what your major is?

there is one problem, overspending, and show me a politician on either side that doesn't like to spend.

Apparently you didn't take economics in college (or maybe you just didn't go).

The Federal Reserve has been constantly raising interest rates. One of the primary indicators of doing so is how well the economy is doing. Unemployment is near all-time lows in the past 10 years - another important factor in raising rates. The price of oil also has an impact, which is something even out of Bush's control.

I could go on, but the logic in your argument has been clearly disputed enough that I think I won't waste any more time on it.

It will take generations.

Just in Iraq, their sons and daoughters will kill your sons and daughters.

They will see it as quite justifiable retribution.

When 9/11 happened, we had the whole world on our side.

We could have accomplished much, instead, what you see now is what you get. The mistakes and affronts to other nations, especially our so-called allies may take a very long time to heal.

Italy has put out warrants for CIA operatives that had worked there.

If we choose to hold Bush and his administration accountable, I think that would go a long way towards healing, both on an internal, national level, and also internationally.

OOPS.........I didnt read the whole question, sorry.

Anyway, its the same answer, generations, just who do you think is paying for this war AND your asinine tax cuts in wartime????

See that guy, sam d? He's such a big man with his answers -
yet, the creep can't be contacted. Ignore him - he gives answers
like that everywhere he can.
To answer your question - I don't know. This is really bad,
I don't care what anyone says. Probably decades.

That guy above me must be wearing rose colored glasses.
He believes the propaganda. I see real life in the hospital
every day, there are millions who are jobless or working on
minimum wage - it's a disgrace how they try to make the
real situation invisible.

Sam d turned into motergradersam - he's a real prince.

When you get out of college and become a grown up, I'll explain to you how wrong you are. Until then, study hard! Oh, and stop doing the green cigarettes. They make you think silly things like Democrats are good for the USA.
