I am confused:

I thought we we were looking for bin laden after 9/11. Then war with afganistan and taliban. Then we were looking for weapons of mass destruction. (found none) Then for Sadam and his sons. After that a top ten list of Iraq people we never heard of or cannot pronounce. It seems we are going to Iran next. Why can't we help the middle east settle down instead of providing it with more weapons? In the end we are all global citizens. Meanwhile people from all sides are dieing.

If the majority of the voters want something to be done, shouldn't elected officials do it? Assuming it is a legal undertaking.
Why do elected officials do the bidding of vocal minorities and not the silent majorities?

Do you really think that any business will eat the cost of an increased minimum wage?
Or do you not understand that those costs will be passed on to the consumer (that would be you)?
Are you ready to pay more for a Big Mac, groceries, gas?

I am not anti oil, anti company profits, or an extreme tree hugger, but I think countries that support terrorism probably make $0.25 (this is a guess) for every gallon of gas or home heating oil we use.

Also wouldn't the US government be better served in this battle by forcing the price of oil down to lower prices than to build jets and bombs? (Also, I am more hawkish than doveish)

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican leaders are willing to allow the first minimum wage increase in a decade but only if it's coupled with a cut in future inheritance taxes on multimillion-dollar estates, congressional aides said Friday."

Sure, we'll let the working-class Americans make a few more bucks at their job if you give rich people more money? Sounds rather shady to me.

the gop continues to allow only republicans go to there campaign fundraisers, events, and town hall meeting. are they afraid of getting tough questions from democrats, i forgot they want to keep spreading lies to there crowds. democrats on the other hand allow anyone to come to any speech, or event. i have even seen hecklers and rude conservatives at democrat functions.

a democrat will get all bent out of shape when a republican does "X" and not say a word when another democrat does it, and then the republicans will do the same thing.....
i mean each group will completely ignore it when their party screws up, but when the other party does the same exact thing they get all flipped out.

I gotta admit. I voted for the guy, twice. I really thought he was the best man for the job.

NOW, whenever he speaks, he looks dazed and confused.

He is in way over his head. LOST !!!

I can only hope that Condi Rice is really running things.

I'm not looking for an answer here. Please don't go on some liberal tirade of I told you so's. I am still conservative, just can't help but feel scared.
