Do you really think that any business will eat the cost of an increased minimum wage?
Or do you not understand that those costs will be passed on to the consumer (that would be you)?
Are you ready to pay more for a Big Mac, groceries, gas?

It's not just the costs that will go up, unemployment will as well. All the people who would have been worth hiring before at the old minimum wage, but are not worth hiring at the new one....won't get hired after the new minimum wage takes effect.
If someone can make my business $6 an hour, I'll hire them at the current minimum.
I won't hire them if the minimum gets raised to $7.00 an hour- I'd just be losing money then.
And the people we are talking about, the ones who are only worth $6 an hour, are the ones who need jobs and job experience the most.

Timm 1776 and you are perpetuating the Big Lie. Statistics, not made up Fox News ones or the phony ones from the RNC, prove that the premises you are fostering with your question as blatantly false. The last time the minimum wage was raised, the econony took off. Look it up, don't make up your phony facts. We are already paying a lot more for the things you mentioned and the minimum wage hasn't gone up. It pure greed by the conservaTARD, RepubliTURd ruling class that increases the cost. Are you that ignorant to believe their propaganda when facts, and statistics from the years following a raise in minimum wages show you to be the ignorant one. Please do your research before you ask such an ignorant question.

Oh, thank God, someone understands business101. You might want to add taxes for any business. Businesses do not pay taxes. They collect them. The cost is always passed on the the end user. All cost must be covered in the price of the product. Who pays? The end user.

What else should happen? Should we leave the MW at the current rate forever? Many people think that if you give the rich tax cuts, there will be a "trickle down effect". Minimum wage laws are a sort of "forced trickle down effect".

this was the arguement the last time min wage was passed.
they were wrong then, and you are wrong now.
seriously just go back and look at this arguement....how many times it has been made.
its kinda funny.
besides if a buisness is not healthy enough to survive the slightest increases then that buisness is not healthy or viable.
do you want a county of business that are too weak to compete realistically. Isn't that the doctrine of capitalism?

Inflation - 10 years ago, even though min. wage was lower - buisnesses were paying out more than they are now coparitavly
no matter what the min wage is gonna be it's still gonna be just enough to starve on - $5.00/hr, $10/hr. $1000/hr - a burgers gonna cost an hours work

Correct, those of us who make more than minimum wage dont get an increase but we will pay higher prices for our goods and services, while those who make minimum wage will be balanced with increase wages and higher prices.

I have watched a documentary on the internet that implicates George bush Senior in sex parties "it is called - conspiracy of silence" it also invloved midnight tours of male prostitutes in the white house (including the presidents living quarters) they could accurately draw classified areas of military bases children were involved too..
It was available at www.letsroll911.org but for some strange reason the site is not available.
