I'm impressed with your creativity! But we would have to invent one that couldn't be deactivated because you know somebody would try to find a way to deactivate them and sell their secret for millions! Maybe there could be an indicator light or some sort of scanning system that says the machine hasn't been tampered with and is in good working condition, or maybe there could be an alarm that goes off if anything is altered and then new laws will be made to imprison anyone attempting to tamper with the "ultimate lie detector"

An invasion of privacy, of course. Telling a lie is not necessarily bad or evil. It's an option that good people can use to make life easier for themselves and others. However, I'm all for your lie detector use when society deems it necessary to know the truth legally. So once the judicial court system says that the lie detector is required, I agree that it should be used if perfect.

that would be horrible. Ever see Clockwork Orange. Radical Behavior Modification.
But on the other hand, I believe people would either not talk anymore or the world would be full of lie detector beeps.
I for one, lie all the time.
and i'm not a politician.
have a nice day.

That would be really good but maybe a more practical possibility would be to have one which you could wear which would detect lies from other people! I think one would be good for me to use on certain people I know.
And maybe one floor would be in that some people actually believe they are telling the truth when they are talking rubbish. If it detected actual lies all the time, that would be ok but if it only detected lies when the person didn't know they were lying, that wouldn't work.

I think no one would trust anyone, we would all become paranoid because we won't want to know the truth about certain things.
We all lie about something. Sometimes to protect ourselves, loved ones, or to keep others out of your business.
