powerful terrorist organizations throughout the world desire to see the United States and Israel wiped off the map. If they acquire the nuke we are done, and it's plain to see that countries such as north Korea or Pakistan could easily supply them. this is getting serious and we need to lay off Bush. Kerry and Hillary voted and wanted this too though they are not president. Wake up people! You all agree?

I think it may have started, but Europe is still on the sidelines, as is Russia and China. When any one (or all) of them engage, we'll be faced with the very real possibility of global chaos. Because when any one of these engage, the others will fall in closely behind (most likely, Russia & China with the Arabs, and Europe with the US, and Europe's support will probably be half-a$$ed, at best). I'm amazed at how many people think this is BS. They have no clue about how the world operates. Their apathy, arrogance, and ignorance is beyond comprehension for me.

Why do you say "we" and put the United States and Israel together? The American, is the most lovable people of the world, but somewhat blind, after the happenings of 9/11, American people asked: Why do they hate us?, the answer is simple: nobody hate Americans, they hate the unconditional support of the United States as a superpower to Israel.
Answering your question, there will never be a nuclear war, you mention North Korea (has nothing to do in the current situation), Pakistan in the improbable case of an Islamic coup d'etat couldn't be a nuclear menace neither to the US nor to israel (a nuclear weapon can't be hidden under the coat of a suicide attacker) and even in the case a nuke is launched from wherever, we won't be done, First, the US Mainland is too far from the source it would be easily detected and destroyed long before it approaches America. Less likely would be a nuclear attac aginst Israel because it would affect to the neighbour countries and finally, beyond the direct damage that could cause if hit on a populated area, an estimated of 100,000 deaths would be a high price, the radioactive cloud would soon be thinned in the atmosphere like those atmospheric nukes of the early atomic era. In conclusion, a nuclear war is unthinkable.
A big conventional war is a reality we are indeed facing
but for sure there will soon be a cease of fire, we ought to pray for all those that are suffering in own skin the horror of war, although there is not too much to be optimistic for the future, after a weapons stillstand in Palestina things in Irak will worse, don't forget that Iraqians who support American presence are Shiite like Shiite are the Hezbollah militias and the Iranian government.

It can't be WW lll. France hasn't surrendered yet. Although they did compromise with the rioters. Hmmm

Seriously, I don't think there is a nation in Europe that wants these fanatics to have nuclear weapons. But much of Europe was destroyed in WW ll and many countries have large Muslim populations, so they are more anti-war and want to negotiate. That is absolutely right, except the other side has made it pretty clear that they won't negotiate. So, I'm afraid time is about up and the UN will give Iran one last chance and then virtually everyone is going to clobber them. That seems to be the only thing they understand.

Clinton surprised me with her statements supporting Israel just a few days ago. I think they are wide awake about the problem, but approach the prospect of something as terrible as going to war very cautiously. Especially since Iran hasn't actually attacked anyone. The idea of the "good guys" starting a war even to prevent a much greater evil is still very difficult to convince folks is the righteous thing to do. For centuries we have labeled the guy who starts the war as the evil aggressor.

However, now we have a situation where people who blow each other up almost daily want a nulear bomb. That is a lot like giving a five year old a gun only with millions of potential victims instead of one or two.
Star Trek's prime directive was correct. You don't allow people who have a primitive, Medieval belief system to have advanced technology.

people have been saying that everytime the middle east explodes a bit. Supposedly it began during Iraq part I. Or was it Israel vs Arabs 1973, or 1967? No, WW3 hasn't begun. Turn off the 24/7 news for a few days and get some perspective. The 2006 election will reign in Bush even more, and by then the little crisis in Lebanon will have simmered down. North Korea has been massing on the border for fifty years on and off. No, historically speaking, it is just another rocky time, and the media access is fueling crisis after crisis, at least in our own minds. it has to because they have to sell commercial time.
If WW3 has really started, where is the draft? The closed borders? The military hardware being pumped out by ford and GM? No no no, as one who worries over history and current events, I am not worried...ashamed, yes, for my once proud country, but that is the cycle we are in, it is the late 60s repeating itself almost. Go catch a movie and realx a bit. I hear "Scoops" is quite good.

All due respect and everything

But what exactly have Kerry and Hillary decided to do that's any better/different from what Bush is doing.
The last time I checked they were wavering between bringing the troops home, and then changed their mind to say that they needed to finish what they started.

I don't see how a party who cannot make up their own minds amongst themselves can help the entire world solve their problems.

Terrorist Organizations have wanted the United States gone for a long time. It's nothing new. Do you remember when 911 happened? The people in Isreal were rejoicing.

How can a nation who desires peace change the minds of the destructive individuals who believe that all of us should die and go to hell? Especially when they are willing to die to achieve that.

I agree what you're saying as far as laying off of Bush and pointing out that he was not the only one who may have made this choice. That was good to point that out because a lot of people like to have a person in power to blame things on. It's just a scapegoat - what would happen if our country didn't have a single president and it was a literal body of people at equal status that all made ONE decision? Might seem kind of hard to do but nonetheless, there would never be one person that gets all the blame that people hate or love. Would open peoples' eyes I think to the realm of "right" and "wrong" choices and how sometimes you just never know.

And yeah, what's going on right now IS war, but as far as an official WW3, things could get much worse so lets not think of it like that right now. I think many of us, especially in the US, have it still very well off for it to be called a world war for us all. It is war for our troops, for the families of those who have lost due to terrorist acts, and things of that nature, but I think a world war where we are really hit with desperation has not happened. That's not to say what IS happening isn't horrible and life-changing though.

"We are done?"

I don't think so. It will definetly be messy though.

I could just as easily argue that WW3 started right after WW2 during the "Cold War" and we are just continuing that now. We have filled the middle east with our weaponry garbage and now we get to reap what we sow.

On the other hand, I would expect WW3 to be much greater scale than we are seeing right now. Do you realize that at the end of WW2 we where willing to NUKE JAPAN just to stop all the death? You have blown this out of scale. We are not even close to desperate enough to kill civilian (specifically) in order to claim victory. You may be right, but there is still reason to hope.

OK you must have been to young but ww 3 happened it was called the cold war but many many died in Korea Vietnam Afghanistan and in many other places .
ww4 the war we are currently fighting is the result of the moral compromises the US made in order to defeat the Russians. one of those compromises was the formation of Israel without any regard for the palestianian people. The dictators the US set up in puppet governments in other parts of hte middle east the Shaw of Iran for example by Republican and democratic presidents created a hatred for America and Russia in the third world.

ww 1 started ww2, ww 2 started ww 3, and here we are in 4
Blindly following IDIOTS is why it started in the first place.

Hey Mr. Politician.....I didn't know you visited the Yahoo Q&A. Seriously, you need to stop reading the enquirer. We don't really care what Nostradamus predicted.

World War 3, huh? Wow that's interesting. You do realize that it's just the US fighting Iraq's insurgency and Hezbollah fighting Israel. That's not a world war, it's just two wars happening at the same time.

Bush is a dork who put us in Iraq to guard his oil. He makes billions off that crap, so why not send over troops. Innocent kids die and the rich get richer.

You are absolutely right except for one detail. Iran already has nuclear capabilities and will supply terrorists with those weapons. This is the biggest problem we face as Americans. People need to wake up and realize that our future is in serious trouble if we don't do something soon.
