Is the statement true, "one fascist for another". I just can't understand why they would rather blame America for everything instead of standing up to the enemy.

I'm sitting here and this Yahoo Answers Politics thing is simply a way for Democrats to try to cut down Republicans and Republicans to cut down Democrats. Can we actually get to some issues? The 12th was a day with great questions. Can someone please step up and ask an unbiased question?

Why are they so angry with hard-working people and why do they get so angry if you don't support their asinine no-solution candidates?

Thomas Jefferson was answering a Question put to him by a concerned church member.
TJ gave the answer that included this phrase.
In context, it states that the Government has NO BUSINESS interfering with CHURCH MATTERS!
NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!
As it is twistedly presented today, it is coming to the point that one may have a political view as long as it is not based on one's Christian belief.
This is wrong. No one can yell intolerence and try to quell another's view, no matter where it comes from!
Most people do not know that Christianity was a REQUIREMENT for public service in the early years of our great land!
The freedom of religion clause was written so that the government would not have a state religion, like England, and oppress those of other Chistian denominations
Tests were prohibited to see what 'brand' of christian one was. It was enough that the person claimed Cristianity.

History folks, the true, but no longer taught, history of the USA!

Don't shoot the messenger!

I know about the holocaust and I know some about Jewish history in the region. But why did we think that gave us the right to take over the region and create Israel. This seems like remnants of colonialistic arrogance. Also a form of neo-crusading to see that we have some influence and friends in the holy land. I'm sure I'm taking a simplictic view of it, but I am so sick of the middle east problems. It seems like that area is the source of all the US / Muslim problems and the cause of islamic extremists.

It seems like what comes out of their mouth is totally absurd, and opposite to the truth. So, when a liberal calls me a fascist, I welcome it. It means that I'm a patriot, that I respect the flag, and I know that freedom isn't free.

With all that is happening in the middle east, do you think that it could escalate to a world war. I know that Israel and Palestine have been at it for years, but this time is different. Now we have Iran talking about building a nuke, and the President of Iran trying to rally Muslims all over the world to fight. It's a scary possibilty, especially now that we are so dependent on oil, and our supply has become a powder keg whose fuse is almost run out. What are your Thoughts

Or are you mainly surrounded by those with similar beliefs? (especially for those who identify strongly with one side of the fence) Don't focus on family - those are not people we pick.

Afterall, Reagan gave weapons and funded the terrorist training camps to beat the communists out of the Middle East. And look where that left us. Friends with Russia (through civil talks and good foreign relations) and trying to fight an enemy we created. Good thing you guys always have a plan, even if it isn't a long term one!

Hmmm, so maby neither side is 100% correct, but one side has to be more logically correct, consistent, and provides for a better and more stable nation than the other. Basically it sums down to this...

Replicans: Kill the terrorists, Lower taxes, No gay people!!

Democrats: Don't send out troops it will damage our national budget and the war was none of our business and will only cause more problems instead of prevent them, Level taxes and let the economy flourish, Let people have the freedom to chose their sexuality!!!

White phosphorus: weapon on the edge
Analysis
By Paul Reynolds
World Affairs correspondent, BBC News website

US mortar bombs can be both explosive and phosphorus

The Pentagon's admission - despite earlier denials - that US troops used white phosphorus as a weapon in Falluja last year is more than a public relations issue - it has opened up a debate about the use of this weapon in modern warfare.
