I think about it this way:

Q: What actions would the US take against Mexico if they kidnapped our soldiers and began rocket attacks on border towns?
A: Kick their butts back to the stone age.

Thus:

Q: What actions should Israel take against Lebanon for kidnapping their soldiers and commencing rocket attacks on border towns?
A: See above.

NO it is NOT!!
Is it fair that an entire country suffers because of One resistance fraction?!?! Is it fair that civilians are dying and a beautiful country is being destroyed because of Hezbollah's actions? because of two soldiers?

Terrorists are those who attack and kill innocent people, which basically means that Hezbollah as a resistance fraction who's been fighting Israel for years wasn't doing a terrorist attack when it took those Israeli soldiers (to make a swap) .. and Israel would be justified to retaliate against Hezbollah ..
BUT that isn't what Israel did!! Israel used this as an excuse and attacked Lebanon, it attacked "civilians" and entire families were killed in their homes (doesn't that count as TERRORISM??) , it destroyed bridges and airports in a country FULL of toursits especially this time of year, they blamed the lebanese government for something they didn't know was going to happen .. is that Justified?! I think not
Just like AL Qaeda had no right to kill innocent people on 9/11 because they had issues with the US government! Israel has no right to punish Lebanon and its people for its issues with Hezbollah!

Yes. This is a terrorist group that dates back to the 80's as far as the USA's experience with them. The U.S. is publicly saying both sides should restrain themselves; however, the U.S. is hoping Israel will kill as much of this organization that they can (especially their infrastructure, and if all possible, their leader). They are a large Shi'ite Group (like the one in Iraq). The Shi-ites in Iraq are the ones killing the Sunnis and then the Sunnis retaliate against the Shi'ites. Notice the Kurds have stayed out of all of this civil war? And it is a civil war no matter what the Republicans want you to believe.

The country's leaders support and fear Hizbullah. By the government backing these terrorists, they know they will be safe in their own positions in leadership, which the people's needs are not their first concern. The Lebanese people have supposedly voted Hizbullah as being the largest majority of thieir government. This terrorist group claims to provide the schools as well as health care and other social programs.

Can you imagine what the next generation of Lebanese children are being taught? I'm sure it's full of hate if Hizbullah controls the curriculum and books.

The Lebanese people support Hizbullah. Hizbullah, which is a Shi'ite-based religious group, same Shi'ite religion that is in Iraq. However, the Hizbullah Shi'ites do not seem to have the hate for other muslim religions nor with the Christian Community in Lebanon. Unreal.

Yes. The 2004 UN resolution states Lebanon must disarm Hizbollah. They have not done so. Hezbollah continues to attack Israel with Rockets and occasional raids. This is the last straw.

Lebanon deserves everything they get and MORE. In fact, Israel is acting with too much restraint as it is.

Hundreds of Lebanese people have died in bombings now, and hundreds more will die in coming days. Hundreds of homes will be destroyed, and hundreds of gallons of blood will be spilled.

. . . and why?

Because a bunch of guys kidnapped two soldiers. I'm not justifying the first action, but you can't just start bombing countries after being provoked.

I've found that people don't consider how serious it is to bomb a country. Do people realize what a "bombing" is? On top of that, it just creates more hatred. Most Westerners agree with me. Look at my "SOURCE" below.

contained in terms of Lebanon, thats of their homeyard so one may say it truly is justified. yet bear in mind, Israel had also had a historic previous of offensive attacks. bear in mind Egipt and president Nasser, that became a form of invasion. Watch Spilbergs `Berlin` and pay particular interest to communicate between 2 seceret brokers in Greece, in abandoned living house. Thats the historic communicate and it shows the focal element.
