Is WW III almost here?

With all that is happening in the middle east, do you think that it could escalate to a world war. I know that Israel and Palestine have been at it for years, but this time is different. Now we have Iran talking about building a nuke, and the President of Iran trying to rally Muslims all over the world to fight. It's a scary possibilty, especially now that we are so dependent on oil, and our supply has become a powder keg whose fuse is almost run out. What are your Thoughts

It could be WW3 very soon. If Israel hits Syria, then Iran will hit Israel. Then we'll have to hit Iran, then North Korea will probably try to hit us (more likely SK or Japan). Then we'll have to hit NK, which will probably bring China into things.

If any of those things happen, we'll be too short handed in the military and will probably have to resort to nukes. If it comes to that, then it really gets ugly.

We'll find out in the next couple of days. It depends on if Israel can keep the fighting local to just Gaza and Lebanon. If it goes beyond that.....

YUP, The lit has been burning since 9-11 and now with crazy, ignorant, and 2 faced Iranian president at the wheel, it will be a West vs East WW. Our troops are vulnerable to attack right now and it would only take one single thing to start a war with Iran. Here is my scenario of what might happen:
1. Iran, Syria or both attack Israel in the next few days or weeks.(most likely Syria).
2. Iran at same time goes after us in Iraq because we are a "zionist" and just think we have alot of forces next door to it.
3. Muslims in the middle east will answer the call and start attacking Western countries and cities anarchy will follow.
3. N. Korea might see an opportunity and attack S. Korea.
4. U.N. tries to prevent more destruction but really does anybody think they can do anything?
5.Prices of oil will sky rocket in the next few weeks.
6. WW III will be seen as West vs Islam.
7. Who uses the nuke?Iran if they have one on Israel or U.S. or a dirty bomb.

No, I don't think this is a WW III setting. And if it were, lets look at things objectively. Who would get involved? We know that the British would be on our side. The French would stay neutral as long as they could. But that would last only as long as it took for them to get invaded. Then they'd come to us. Most European countries would choose us over the Middle East, simply because we have a better track record. Israel and Palestine are involved in themselves. Like two little children squabbling over whose toy it is. They wouldn't join a world war. Iran's nuke testing, that was a bit of a fluke. 3, 2,1, ploof. It failed. Iraq would be a small toehold in the Middle East. And if we needed her to be our ally, there's a good chance she would, unless they were pressured or threatened into docility. I don't know too much about the Muslim thing, but I have a feeling that they could harness Russia's vast hunger for power and use it against us. What really worries me is the Chinese front. They hold our economy in their hands. I have a friend in the furniture business, she buys a lot of stuff from China, simply because it's cheaper than furniture from other countries. And China is positioned just right to collapse our economy. If she gets ahold of some working nuclear bombs, we might be in for a big problem. So, no, I don't think that we have too much to worry about except China.

It is possible. That is why it is important to keep iran from getting nuclear weapons.

Israel has nukes. If Iran (which is crazy) had them, their pedophile president would use them to attack Israel and before you know it, Russia, the US and China might start nuking each other. Then it would be game over.

I'm sure Bush is hoping that's the case - it'll take people's minds off his no-win war in Iraq and give him reason to invade Iran which is what the kill-crazy idiot wants to do. After all, they're part of his "Axis of Evil." And all evil must be destroyed - they're bad.....bad....bad!!! As the decider - not to mention the uniter, and not a divider - if he decides to send troops into Iran as WWIII breaks out, he can unite the country behind his, uh, fearless leadership.
