You are right in a way actually (for all the fools who said it wasn't in the Constitution). I'm not saying you were right on the right to bear arms, but we definetely have a right to defend ourselves. It's simple, look at the Constitution's Preamble, "..and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our prosterity." Clearly, if someone attacks us (9/11) and is striving only to destroy America, that surely gives us a right to defend ourselves and defend our liberties so future generations can enjoy the same blessings.

Liberals, eh, eh, haha. They're hypocrites. For example, for lots of liberals they feel they have a right to say something, lets see, like that war is bad and they have a right to say that because they fought in a war and they feel that no one has the right to refute them because they served in their country! Ridiculous, conservatives have served their country just as much. But of course when the tables are turned then they have a right to express their feelings freely. Blah. Read "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" by Ann Coulter. Great book.

The constitution applies to everyone. Free speech is protected. Often when a disagreement arises between two parties, it is the issue under assault not the right to say it. As for the right to bear arms, it is also protected in the consitiution. If an unarmed man tries to take you gun...How bad of a shot are you?

It is a side effect of our lackluster educational system, that people tend to argue the right to the have the disagreement over debating the issues.

Why are ppl like you so misinformed? It's us 'leftist' that will stand up and be the first to protest for your constitutional right to bear arms. Why? Because it is in the constitution. (yes it is in there... some ppl have tried to twist the words but it says it very clear)

You have been mentally manipulated by the right. They have convinced you that when we protest against selling machine guns o the streets or protest for a criminal check before the purchase, that we want to take your gun away from you.

Nobody is seriously arguing that the First Amendment can only apply to one political viewpoint except maybe Ann Coulter, and she ain't hardly left of Hitler. I also don't recall outlawing Firearms showing up except in the more hysterical NRA fundraisers. John Kerry hunts, I hunt, a lot of left/ progressives hunt, serve in the military, can appreciate a fine crafted rifle as much as the next guy. We do not extend that to shooting our Friends in the head of course (We libs call that ASSAULT. Can you say ASSAULT, boys and girls? I knew you could...)
Also, a difference of opinion doesn't count as a delusion, you rude SOB. Try lifting your nose from Rush's *** once in a while- the fresh air will do you good.

No...cause the second amendment is not "right to bear arms"...there is more to it. It starts by saying "to preserve a well guarded militia". So some are making the argument that militia is a reference to military and therefore only the military has the right to bear arms.

And for those that read this....my view is I am ok with gun...but I feel "Not every gun...and not for everyone"
