Who gave them this much credit?

How?

Why?

Is this an act of gross insanity?

Who, pray, will bail them out, the taxpayer?

Who, why was this even allowed?

Do such insane creditors deserve to see thier money again?

How / why do the parties need this money in the first place?

Is this a show of gross incompetence by a fraternity who are briefed to lead us by their own good example?

Each mp already receives £65K / annum plus the same again in expenses from us poor taxpayers.

They expect the fire-fighters to manage on £20 K / 12hr shift & unemployed to survive on £2,750 /annum.

If these political parties were to be in the private sector the official receiver would have them behind bars for life.

the 2 trillion dollars spent in Iraq. If this money went to a valid welfare en devour would you still support spending it?

You should be outraged that 2 trillion of your tax dollars went overseas instead of capital projects here in the US something tangible that the US will have forever maybe a balistic missle defense system .

Gaza, itself, the latest phase, began on June 24. It was when Israel abducted two Gaza civilians, a doctor and his brother. We don't know their names. You don’t know the names of victims. They were taken to Israel, presumably, and nobody knows their fate. The next day, something happened, which we do know about, a lot. Militants in Gaza, probably Islamic Jihad, abducted an Israeli soldier across the border. That’s Corporal Gilad Shalit. And that's well known; first abduction is not. Then followed the escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, which I don’t have to repeat. It’s reported on adequately.

The next stage was Hezbollah's abduction of two Israeli soldiers, they say on the border. Their official reason for this is that they are aiming for prisoner release. There are a few, nobody knows how many. Officially, there are three Lebanese prisoners in Israel. There's allegedly a couple hundred people missing. Who knows where they are?

But the real reason, I think it's generally agreed by analysts, is that -- I’ll read from the Financial Times, which happens to be right in front of me. “The timing and scale of its attack suggest it was partly intended to reduce the pressure on Palestinians by forcing Israel to fight on two fronts simultaneously.” David Hearst, who knows this area well, describes it, I think this morning, as a display of solidarity with suffering people, the clinching impulse."

Hey All

Firstly, before i start, this isnt a thread to attack either the Israelis actions in Labanon or Hezbollah's, thats for another time.

My question is, with the HMS Illustrious and the HMS Bulwark approaching Lebanon, would the Navy be justified in breaking the Israeli blockade to extract British nationals?
Let me explain. Their are several news channels following the actions minute by minute, such as the BBC and Euro News. A spokesperson from the Royal Navy said that she believed the Navy would be justified in forcing a break in Israels blockade as our Citizens are currently being bombed due to Israels campaign.

Do you believe the Navy will, and is justified to, break the Blockade in order to extract British Citizens?

I keep hearing things like (isrealis are defending themselves),(isrealis would never strap a jacket and bomb civilians) i also hear other comments like (isrealis are the chosen people of god and that land belongs to them)..well i say that when a 15-30 year old guy goes on and straps one of those bomb jackets..that just shows how desprate he is..and about isrealis not doing that...that is because they dont need to they already have WMD and multi million dollar weapons with top of the line gadgets....it is not the palestinians that dont want peace it is the isrealis and that is because at one point they did live in piece...but the isrealis were never satisfied with what they got and they wont be until they get the whole land...(but they never will). Another point about the land originally belonging to them....What would you guys do if the Indians start fighting for there land back???would you move out peacefully? how could you defend yourself in a land that doesnt even belong to you...?

I am an average American. I work very hard everyday. I take care of my children and try to teach them to be happy and healthy. I have done nothing to anyone else. I've never even traveled outside the country. Average Amercans, truthfully, don't even care what happens outside our own town or state. We don't make policies and we don't invade countries. Average Americans just want to be left alone. WE are not the government. Average Americans have no power in our country. The average American is not rich. So why do they hate us, the average American? What the hell did we do?

I don't doubt that the media has a liberal bias. This has been proven as true. However, journalists are people whose job it is to find truth and report it. They go out in the world, see the blood, the guts, the joy, the tears, the evil, the good, and everything in between.

And these people are mostly liberals.

The conservative journalists are not the same. Most of them are pundits. Or worse, they're talk radio hosts that see little of the world other than their studios and whatever newspapers they read.

In short:

The media is liberal
BUT
Journalists seek out and report truth
SO
Liberalism in the media is based on truth

Let's see if any conservatives out there can make a salient argument against. It shouldn't be too hard if they think about it. But I doubt we'll see anything other than "you suck, we rule" types of posts.

Seems to me they're a little hypocritical. Most of the Arab nations aren't even willing to take in Palestinian refugees, let alone give them some paltry piece of land to call their own. Yet SOME of them are happy to participate in genocide (of the Jews) to accomplish what they're unwilling to do. Not seeing that brotherhood bond here, do you????
(Yes, I'm aware of the Holy sites, but those are ALL OVER the middle east...Surely in the name of "peace" they could give up just one??? Afterall, they expect the Jews--whom they wish to WIPE OFF THE PLANET to give up thier ONLY one.)

I've been watching here in Dubai during the Israeli offensive, and they tell their citizens that Israel is attacking Lebanon with "Chemical weapons", that Israel means harm to the "Entire muslim world", and then they show pictures of injured children with a stamp across the screen saying "Made in Israel". They also continued to say that the U.S. Administration is the "ugliest it's ever seen". Absolute Madness. I know that Iran rules a state run news network and no other is allowed in. What do you think of this injustice?
