Here's the truth people :)

"basically the current stage of what's going on -- there's a lot more -- begins with the Hamas election, back the end of January. Israel and the United States at once announced that they were going to punish the people of Palestine for voting the wrong way in a free election. And the punishment has been severe.

At the same time, it's partly in Gaza, and sort of hidden in a way, but even more extreme in the West Bank, where Olmert announced his annexation program, what’s euphemistically called “convergence” and described here often as a “withdrawal,” but in fact it’s a formalization of the program of annexing the valuable lands, most of the resources, including water, of the West Bank and cantonizing the rest and imprisoning it, since he also announced that Israel would take over the Jordan Valley. Well, that proceeds without extreme violence or nothing much said about it.

Gaza, itself, the latest phase, began on June 24. It was when Israel abducted two Gaza civilians, a doctor and his brother. We don't know their names. You don’t know the names of victims. They were taken to Israel, presumably, and nobody knows their fate. The next day, something happened, which we do know about, a lot. Militants in Gaza, probably Islamic Jihad, abducted an Israeli soldier across the border. That’s Corporal Gilad Shalit. And that's well known; first abduction is not. Then followed the escalation of Israeli attacks on Gaza, which I don’t have to repeat. It’s reported on adequately.

The next stage was Hezbollah's abduction of two Israeli soldiers, they say on the border. Their official reason for this is that they are aiming for prisoner release. There are a few, nobody knows how many. Officially, there are three Lebanese prisoners in Israel. There's allegedly a couple hundred people missing. Who knows where they are?

But the real reason, I think it's generally agreed by analysts, is that -- I’ll read from the Financial Times, which happens to be right in front of me. “The timing and scale of its attack suggest it was partly intended to reduce the pressure on Palestinians by forcing Israel to fight on two fronts simultaneously.” David Hearst, who knows this area well, describes it, I think this morning, as a display of solidarity with suffering people, the clinching impulse."

When the American people stop their government from sending a total of $90 Billion of their taxes to Israel to support their barbaric acts then the fighting will stop.

And also when the American people stop their governments from vetoing any chance of a peaceful settlement, then maybe there will be an agreement.

Irrational, and often hateful responces merely illustrate how extreme you are :)

Unfortunately Lying has become a common epidemy among politicians today. It's not limited to Israel. But US has created a very bad sample during these last 3-4 years. Now think about countries like Iran where there is a movement pushing towards democracy and on the other hand images from Iraq gives region's despot regimes many excuses to maintain their grip on people.
Fortunately there's a spark of waking up among people of the world. That's the real force that can change everything for good. What people really want is peace and freedom regardless of their origin or religion.

Because, as you say they have the worlds only superpower in their pocket funding illegal activities. Nothing new there. If it was an arab nation you can bet that ol george would be ranting about some old crap and democracy blah blah. End of the day UN are the only ones who can stop it but they are scared of US. All comes down to fat cats, stupid politicians, oh and tiring religious bullcrap of course.

Congratulations,
You managed to find one of my favorite people the good old Noam.

This wonderful man whom you are very proud of, a man whom you go out of your way to point out is Jewish. This freethinking and fast talking professor at MIT is also one of the folks that really sticks in my craw.

This wonderful person is all about socialism, for you that is. He is all about spreading the wealth to everyone, your wealth that is. He’s all about justice and fair practice. As long as he gets a pass. He in my opinion is one of America’s biggest detractors and most ineffectual panderer to human fear and idiocy.

Now sure your saying, he has a PhD. He works at MIT. He must be smart, sure he’s a smart guy and I am sure that he would be a hoot to sit around with. But he seems to have missed the boat some where. Some time around the Vietnam War I would say.

Any American who would travel to a land full of despotism and hate, and then praise those same people. Well personally that makes me sick, and what makes it worse is that he is such a smart guy. So smart in fact that he gets buckets of money from his arch rival. Yes good Ol’ Noam gets a check from the Pentagon, for what you’re asking? His fiery rhetoric? His stance against anything that’s American? His neon glare of hate for the average Joe? How about his communist ideals. That should be worth a check from the military, OR how about for work he has done for the good people that allow you to sleep safely at night? Could it be that Noam has just sold out? No gentle reader he didn’t just sell out, he sold out long ago. But hey, he’s Noam and that’s ok, but if you do the same he would call you a terrorist.

So, will we except lies from Israel? Nope, but evidentially your ready to take them from our good buddy Noam.

Israel is the ONLY home of freedom in the Middle East. But they are also not about to take crap from the MILLIONS of people who surround them and would love to seem each and every Israeli dead. So sure Israel plays the game like Elliot Ness, you send one of my boys to the hospital I will send 2 of yours to the morgue. It’s big stick diplomacy, and to survive in the Middle East you have to be willing to use that stick early and often.

Just because Noam is a Jew doesn’t make him for Israel, just like because he was born in America doesn’t make him for it, just from it.

So go back to the drawing board bucko, find someone, anyone who can lend weight to your argument for it seems that neither you nor Noam can.

It is well-known that Noam Chomsky is a self-hating Jew and a vehement detractor of Israel.

His biased opinion is exactly that: an opinion.
ANYONE'S opinion is just an opinion.

Note the language he uses: "probably", "I think", "they say", "presumably" etc.

Give us facts, if you want to prove something. Giving us someone else's opinion to support your own opinion doesn't cut it.
