does anyone know of a list of all american casualties of all american actions?

2006-07-16 21:53:56 · update #1

this question was posed to see what actions the public thought were not expensive to the US in personnel figures...

I put police action because I didn't want full fledged wars that never gained the name War... to be discounted...

I didn't expect so many people to go straight for smaller police actions...

let's rephrase...

what war or police action resulting in the liberation of a country or people or the attempt thereof has the least casulties...???

better?

wars, occupations, invasions always involve casualities. one answer mentioned desert storm...that is the liberation of kuwait from sadam hussain. i agree, coz very few casualities took place in the coalition forces and kuwaiti citizens; however, iraqies have suffered the most and they continued to suffer until now! 500,000 children died as a result of the economic sanctions during the 1990's not to mention the abandenment of US to iraqies who revolted against sadam in the early 90's!

The unlawful and outrageous bombings in the Balkan States: Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. There were zero battlefield casualties taken by Americans in that episode as we did it all through air power.
The only thing that America got hurt by is our reputation in that part of the world because what happened there was a criminal act that still goes unpunished today.
It is the same as we are seeing now...Muslims decided to take over the land because, somehow, they had a right to it. They killed the "infidels" in droves and beat back the Bosnian Army. When Slobodan Milosevic decided he had had enough and began to take out the Muslim strongholds with overwhelming firepower, along comes the U.S. Air Force, courtesy of NATO to stop him.
Thanks Uncle Bill Clinton. Got caught with your pants down, did you? Had to do something to take the American mind off of his disgrace...
Unfortunately, this led to the biggest disgrace in the history of the United States and I, with my lone voice, apologise to the people of the Balkans for the disgraceful man we elected President of the United States.

I'd say the invasion of Grenada in October 1983. I believe there were no casualties at all.

War on drugs? I think officially it had no American casulties.

Grenada:
American military :19 dead, 116 wounded
Grenadian military: 49 dead and 358 wounded
Cuban military, construction workers: 29 dead and 100+ wounded
Civilians: 45 dead
