Who gave them this much credit?

How?

Why?

Is this an act of gross insanity?

Who, pray, will bail them out, the taxpayer?

Who, why was this even allowed?

Do such insane creditors deserve to see thier money again?

How / why do the parties need this money in the first place?

Is this a show of gross incompetence by a fraternity who are briefed to lead us by their own good example?

Each mp already receives £65K / annum plus the same again in expenses from us poor taxpayers.

They expect the fire-fighters to manage on £20 K / 12hr shift & unemployed to survive on £2,750 /annum.

If these political parties were to be in the private sector the official receiver would have them behind bars for life.

Money is just a form of consciousness.

Concentrate on your own wealth by providing great services people will be happy to pay for.

Who gave them this much credit?

Banks and interested businesses and private individuals

How?

They asked for it.

Why?

Well for banks it's to make money off the interest... for businesses and private individuals?... Isn't it obvious?

Is this an act of gross insanity?

No... money making yes, and possibly corruption but not insanity.

Who, pray, will bail them out, the taxpayer?

That's what they are hoping.

Who, why was this even allowed?

Because they need money

Do such insane creditors deserve to see thier money again?

In my opinion no... but no doubt they think they should.

How / why do the parties need this money in the first place?

Campaign funds, Party political broadcasts, fees for members standing for parliament, that sort of thing.

Is this a show of gross incompetence by a fraternity who are briefed to lead us by their own good example?

Again, it's about money

Each mp already receives £65K / annum plus the same again in expenses from us poor taxpayers.

No, each MP receives about 30K per year. Cabinet ministers will get about 60K. What is important is the MPs expenses account which is unchecked (ie, they don't need to provide receipts) and unlimited. I am sure that the last audit showed that each MP was costing about £120K per year.

They expect the fire-fighters to manage on £20 K / 12hr shift & unemployed to survive on £2,750 /annum.

Yes they do. But they aren't firefighters so they don't care.

Remember MPs are the only public sector workers who vote on their own pay rises and have fully protected pensions.

If these political parties were to be in the private sector the official receiver would have them behind bars for life.

Not sure about behind bars but certainly sacked for being a complete waste of money.

Where to start...

Political parties need the money to fund campaigns, their is a big movement in Parliament to allow each party a 'grant' to publicise themselves. However, i dont want the conservatives benefitting off my taxs, so its a tricky problem.

MP's dont earn 65K my man, thats an over-exageration. 30K Yes, plus living costs in London, but thats it. Doctors get 3 times that amount, yet i dont hear you complain about them, considering they dont actualyl work all that hard..

Fire-fighters are a poor example in this. 20K a year is goodmoney, my Mother has been a Nurse for over 30 years and she barely earns 16K. for a 48 hour working shift.
