Our local Outback Steakhouse closed because they said high food prices in, cheese, anything dairy, beef, chicken. Our local paper said, this is just the start of resturants closing due to high food prices caused by ethanol. Dairy, cheese, beef, chicken are at all time high in prices. Cheese has gone up 40% in the last couple of weeks. People do not understand how many this will put out of work.

I mean, America's cities are rife with crime. Burning cars, drive-by shootings, murder for gang acceptance, etc.
These are a worse problem to me and not enough is done about it because US attention is fixed thousands of miles away.

I mean...as you know, countries are just tools of the elites in the government, opinions of small people dont really matter. I mean comon, you may vote them in, you may say that democracy can monitor them. But, is that really the case? For example, the Bush gang may declare their "war on terror" but what do you stand to gain and do you really want to support them? I suppose as seen recently, Bush's supporting rate is so frigging low, and almost no one really supports his actions anymore, yet it seems that he doesnt care. I just have this idea, in the future, countries should not function anymore, why not everyone just unite and make the world a better place. Why should a few countries get richer and richer and become tools for even fewer elites to control the world, while vast majority lives in poverty. Any opinions on this?

Abu Nadhrah says: "We were sitting in the company of Jabir bin Abdullah (R.A.) when he said: 'Soon the people of IRAQ will neither receive any food (grain) nor any money.'" We asked, "Why would such a thing happen?" He replied, "Because of the non-Arabs." (i.e they will prevent food from going into Iraq, in the form of "sanctions" to this day.) He then said: "Soon the people of Shaam (SYRIA) will neither receive any money nor grain." We asked as to why this would happen. He replied: "Because of the Romans (christians)."

Americans get angry when Shariah law is suggested in western life, but in Iraq & Afganistan westerners are demanding to have their laws implemented or be killed.

How is that fair?

It turned out, as everybody on Earth knew and told you Americans, the United Nations campaign against Saddam had worked very well....exactly as intended in fact.

He'd been stopped menacing his neighbors.
He'd been stopped from killing Kurds.
He was disarmed.
He was embargoed.
He was sanctioned.
He couldn't fly an airplane 10' into the air.
He was being successfully inspected when Bush invaded.
He had no nuclear program.
etc.
The UN succeeded and Bush/GOP snubbed their noses at the UN and invaded anyway. And you are getting just what you deserve.

Looks like it to me. He owned you for 8 years, defeated you at every turn, including impeachment, and you just can't get over it.

Whenever someone faults Bush for something y'all swarm on here and whine and screech about Clinton.

In addition you hold Clinton responsible for everything that's happened since Bush became president.
Clinton was to blame for 9/11 according to y'all.
Clinton said there were WMDs in Iraq which is why Bush invaded.
Clinton's single lie about getting a blojob so obsesses y'all still that it pales all of Junior's lies and crimes by comparison.

I'd say: YEAH... Clinton's still your daddy. He owns your souls.
And now his wife's coming.

Isn't it the case that more then 80% of all CO2 trouble is caused by the 'industrialised countries' ? What about the phrase: THE POLLUTOR PAYS??? Why should other countries, like developing countries, sacrifise scarce funds?

I have been surfing around Y/A! just looking at political and American questions..and some answers I found were astonishing...I see people who live here talking horribly about this country..and how much they hate it..and how they wouldn't defend the country if their lives depended on it...well my question is:

For the people who hate America so much, and hate everything it stands for...then why do you live here?

It dosen't make since..they're are plenty of other countries...i mean..France, England, Austrailia..If America is so bad then M0VE away!

noone wants to hear your b*tching and complaining on how bad this country is.

Anyway..back to my question: If you hate it so bad...then why don't you get on an airplane or a boat and LEAVE!?

The article below speaks of Iraqis helping the US and not being able to move here legally. I have asked before, why can't the US move these people to the front of the line of immigration? I can think of two reasons, rewarding good deeds to those who deserve to leave if they choose and moving them out of the country that we destroyed with huge civilian casualties ( not all by US, but a direct response by the insurgents because of our presence).

I would like to see high speed rail connecting all the midsize and large cities in the USA so we could travel without driving or flying, plus if you have seen maglev you will understand, it can go from 0 to 300mph in a few minutes and back to 0 in the same time and it is smooth, no jostling. I just think it would be awesome to zip to anywhere and not have to fly. Also there is a new system being tested that use's a maglev train inside a vacuum tube system and the speeds are unreal, I believe they said 18 minutes from New Orleans to Chicago, fast huh.
