Because they are hypocrites. They use the excuse that they buy carbon credits so it is OK to have such a large carbon foot print. So basically they are saying that if you are rich you can afford the anti-environmental lifestyle while asking the rest of us to conserve and save the planet. They are willing to volunteer us to make sacrifices that they are unwilling to make themselves. How much more hypocritical than that can you get.

Yah I think Al Gore is going to lead a group of farmers to start giving pepto bismol to cows to cut down on gases to help the global warming, Al Gore has also promised to cut down on eating chili & beans.

Al Gore is a hypocritical lying and whining person.

I watched his movie. It was good up until the point he started ranting about politics. And then you see that his home pollutes the atmosphere 20 times more than the average home....I am glad he is trying to get the word out, but he is hypocritical and that ruins his credibility...a lot.
