Who are the rich anyway? Are the Kennedys and Kerys going to pay for my kid's healthcare?

It's mostly jealousy. Seriously, that's why they want "wealth distribution" so bad. They think it's so unfair that people have gotten an education and worked for their money. God forbid we be able to afford our own health care too. So, now they want a nationalized system, blindly thinking that the elusive rich are going to take care of them so they still won't have to take care of themselves.

its called tax and spend mentality or the free lunch. the reality check is the working middle class always pays for it and liberals as the pelosi/reid regime could really care less. feel good type poltics as this has been around since the johnson administration and is most of the basis for conservative disagreement with extremists like the pelosi/reid regime. when you see energy drilling exploration credit become eliminated for peanut storage credit and over 36000 carded requests for pork barrel being installed in the defense bill of this country is painfully obvious where the liberals want to go if left unchecked. we can only hope the electorate wakes up soon.

This questions demonstrates so much ignorance about politics I hardly know where to begin to answer it. Where in the world did you ever get the idea that the Democrats think "the rich" can pay for everything??!! The way our income tax system operates, there are so many loopholes for people with income over $150,000 a year, that the biggest tax burden (percent of income) is actually on the working class of America (i.e., the people who make under $50,000 per household a year). We have the most regressive (higher taxes on poor, lower taxes on rich) income tax structure of any developed country in the world. That is a fact. Please educate yourself before you make such uninformed statements!

Why the heck not? The middle class ends up paying most the taxes anyway, b/c the super rich have tax dodges.
