To me individual right that allow destructive behavior to oneself is not a right at all. Do people forget we have support systems out there and people who will adopt? Why do people want Individual Right to abort a child, to pay a doctor to kill themselves? I mean come on now.

The I.P.C.C. (International Panel on Climate Change) is the end all source to all articles and books on Global warming. It doesn't matter if it is a Time Magazine cover article asking if it is too late to act on Global Warming or a well known movie like Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. They all have their ultimate source as the IPCC which gave credence to the Global Warming movement.
Big problem with this as the scientists on the original panel, including MIT Professor Lindzen - who happens to be one of the most well known and according to the IPCC the most qualified person dealing with the climate states that the politicians wrote what the scientists debated about. It is all a big lie according the real scientists. Source - http://www.opinionjournal.com/extra/?id=110008597

you would think the people who don't mind seeing people off themselves would fully support carnage in any type of war? i mean murder has never seemed to be an issue with Liberals... Probably explains why the vast majority of Democrats and Liberals are the average american criminal in the United States

Khalid Sheik Mohammed spoke unapologetically of the terrorist acts he had committed and those he had wished to commit.

He took responsibility for killing almost 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001. He said he had cut off a reporter's head, held it in his hand, and had his picture taken with it. And what was the reaction of two United States senators? They were worried that we had mistreated Khalid Sheik Mohammed in captivity.

They didn't walk out of the room and say this is a frightening example of how serious our enemies are. They worried that we were dealing too harshly with the man who had just finished saying how much he wanted to brutally slaughter us.

This inability to come to grips with evil is suicidal. Does anyone believe you can win a war being 'politically correct' or by serving tea and cookies to your enemies? Is the problem that Americans never faced such danger and are now incapable of believing in the evils of our enemies?

I understand that it is a struggle to have a family member with cancer, THOUSANDS of women have cancer. I understand that it must be terrible to lose a child, THOUSANDS of families have lost children. WHY IS THIS AN ISSUE? I think Edwards should stop trying to make himself seem so "special", like he is some kind of super dad/husband. Stick to the issues. There are so many others that have delt with so much more than he has. It makes him look like a dinkus.

Because he was projected as a real American hero by the media, I suspect that Tillman's mother will be given a pass by the public. I don't think she will be demonized as some "loony leftist liberal." If she is not demonized, would that be a double standard?

No country in the Middle East has a liberal democracy (with the possible exception of Israel), with most of the population having very limited political rights and civil liberties, especially the women.

I have seen it said that Democrats should not receive any blame for a failure in Iraq, even if they cut funds or otherwise cripple the effort, because Bush got us into Iraq in the first place.

I hate to talk in terms of credit or blame, but it's come up, so here goes:

Imagine a doctor who, let's assume, schedules a patient for unnecessary surgery. The operation doesn't go as well as planned. A new doctor comes in and says "you botched it and we need a new approach." This new doctor then says "this is already a failure, so let's just quit" or "let's decide on a deadline - this will be over in an hour no matter what." Wouldn't Dr. #2 share some responsibility for failure?

No, my example is different because the operation doesn't cost billions of dollars, people aren't shooting at the doctors, and maybe the "patient" (Iraq) cannot, or should not be saved.

But my point is, the past is not the only consideration. I want to know what we should do NOW.

Any thoughts?

The prevailing thought today from the socialists is that you should celebrate and worship the racial class you are in seeing that as some sort of achievement. They see race as an achievement. Considering you have nothing at all to do with your race selection, how could that be considered an achievement.

Multiculturalism states that culture, ideas, customs and skills are a matter of racial membership. That is in itself racism at its finest. Lets build a box, put people in it, and never let them leave or improve and move on to bigger and better things.

This states that multiculturalism, that different cultural values, are morally equivalent. In a civilized world that concept is purely ludricous. Consider female mutilation (Middle East), slavery (N. Sudan), stoning of women for adultery (Middle East). Those differences in culture are not morally equivalent to my cultural values.
