The I.P.C.C. (International Panel on Climate Change) is the end all source to all articles and books on Global warming. It doesn't matter if it is a Time Magazine cover article asking if it is too late to act on Global Warming or a well known movie like Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. They all have their ultimate source as the IPCC which gave credence to the Global Warming movement.
Big problem with this as the scientists on the original panel, including MIT Professor Lindzen - who happens to be one of the most well known and according to the IPCC the most qualified person dealing with the climate states that the politicians wrote what the scientists debated about. It is all a big lie according the real scientists. Source - http://www.opinionjournal.com/extra/?id=110008597

Global warming is a fact. Average temperatures have been going up for at least a decade. Ice is melting and/or breaking off at the poles. To think otherwise is naive.

What is at the center of the debate is cause for global warming.

So, even assuming its NOT made worse by man, it is responsible policy to find ways to use LESS energy given oil etc. is a finite resource.

The Global Warming people have a religious fervor similar to the medieval Catholic Church. They assume that everybody who disagrees with them works for the evil Exxon Mobil (like that matters at all) and therefore they can ignore any claims they make.

Communists do the exact same thing. If you disagree with them, its because you're a bourgeois and you're protecting your "class interest."

Obviously, claims like these are absurd. There is no consensus on Global Warming, but they keep claiming that there is now a consensus and the supposed foundation of Global Warming keeps weakening. They were saying that Global Warming was gonna cause an Ice Age 10 years ago (which Global Cooling was supposed to have caused 30 years ago). They would be just as laughable as the Scientologists if they weren't such a threat to our economy.

well, lets see. the 'experts' who claim global warming is real are the same 'experts' who claimed back in the 70's that the next ice age would be here -- now(look it up). the same 'experts' who said back in the 60's that the world would be overpopulated by the 90's(look it up). have you all forgotten that the major volcanoes that have erupted in the last decade, like in mexico, put more 'contaminants' into the earth's atmosphere in one shot that everything humans have done in their entire exitance(look it up)? the 'warming' of the earth has been less than 1 degree over the last century(look it up) and if global warming is real then why is the majority of the restrictions being suggested aimed at the USA, a country that does not pollute even a fraction of what the rest of the world does(look it up)? follow the $$$$$$$ trail.

There are things to know about global warming. Both for and against its claims.

It would behoove all of us to search out the truth as best we can before we become adherants for or against it.

I do not believe in the claims of global warming adherants as it is presented by them in such things as Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.

I thought it an important enough issue to find out for myself...and I have.

Result is that I see a much more hidden agenda for the movement than global warming.

Global Warming is real. I don't know if it is so far advanced that it can't be reversed at this time, but if we haven't passed that mark yet, we're VERY close to it.
And it is both a scientific and religious fact. Scientist have facts from the melting ice caps and higher temps, etc and the Bible have the many prophecies of man ruining the earth. Of course in the Bible's version, God will step in and destroy those causing these problems and then restore the earth back to it's original purpose, while the scientist view is that the earth will eventually die...along with the sun and all other matter.

I believe the Bible. I believe God created us and we tried to rule ourselves. But before we destroy ourselves, he'll step in and fix us...sort of speak! :)
