No country in the Middle East has a liberal democracy (with the possible exception of Israel), with most of the population having very limited political rights and civil liberties, especially the women.

for those of you who stated that we should just accept they way they are.... what!!!?? that would be all fine and dandy except you missed something.... THEY do not share the same sentiment. their religious fanatics preach hatred towards "infadels". they teach you to do one of 3 things when you are faced with an "infadel". try to convert them (which they have NOT done peacefully). rule them and tax them (which they would LOVE to do). or ya just kill them (which they prefer cause it's the simple-minded way to get your point across). THEY DO NOT LIKE YOU! and these people will NEVER change as long as we take a pacifistic approach on this issue. they are stuck in the ancient times. most of their religious fanatic leaders are not educated and they pick up the Koran and read it a 1000 times and all of a sudden they know everything and take what it says to heart. what if Christians took EVERYTHING that's in the bible to heart... they'd be just as bad. all we can do is stay the course, and if they don't want to listen to reason.... they can pay the price. we ARE a tolerant people. we have to be with the type of country we live in with a broad spectrum of people. but, they don't see it that way. all they see is "infadels" and freedom and liberty and women's rights, and individual rights as bad things. at some point they need to understand. and just like a bully in the playground that you can't reason with.... all they understand is violence. so, i say punch the bully in the mouth and he'll leave ya alone.

Some countries are also Communist. Not every country has the same government, and it is a matter of opinion to say that the Middle East is worse because they lack certain things that a liberal democracy has. Sure we can preach as if we are the enlightened ones, but that is all opinion. The only thing we can do is accept them for who they are and quit trying to empliment change.

well first of all it's not supposed to be called as (( middle east ))
it's a brand new name politicans are calling the area
if it happened that u once had lived in what so called (( the middle east)) then u should have been aware that there's lots freedom outthere .. specially for woman ,, and americans they doesn't have this much of democracy as they claim... they only think the opposite ... am not judging any nation but i believe that the rest of arabs they do care about other nation and learning from them ( learn the language , politics , science and other methods even their lives style ) undermining that rest of the world they just care enough to speak their own language . iam a woman and i work and am muslim and am arabic .... so i enjoy my freedom ... i can choose my spouse i can choose my way of life but i can't deny my family or my religion i can't go with the flow .. i have others to respect.... running naked or driking or getting drugs ... is not necessary a freedom way of life ....
the culture of acceptance ( means we should learn and accept eachother).
also alot of americans or any other nation they cause many damages or they sabotage puplic places in the name of terrorism but no one calls them so except for arabs or ppl from (( middle east))....
but u should stop helping other nations
instead let america help it's nation
u ppl really need help
have alot of diseases out of unsafe sex and drugs
lots of damages
ask ur government to mind its own business other that minding others with ( war and killing inoccents)

There is not anything we can do. These countries are the way they are, because thats how some like it. You see what happens when we try to help. News Media, Liberals, Democrats sit back on their couches and trash a mans name. We should do nothing I guess. I mean I am sick of these liberals protesting our country. We should no longer help anyone ever. For any reason.When we do the slander terrorist will cry and whine.

we leave them alone to tend to there own ways, traditions and culture is what we do .why do you think what they do is Your business do you see them all rising up and telling us how to handle the Katrina disaster are anything.do you wonder why were so occupied with the middle east when theres so much Wrong in other places like Africa, its politics and big business interests not any thing democratic .they wish war over there is all, your a sheeple people american person like most people buying into this lets take over the middle east mentality.half a million are dead now in iraq because of the feds. i bet you wish for us to bomb iran next?
