It does not feel that way to me. I am a white person but observe with concern that races still live Very seperately especially here in the south. If you are black, do you feel intergrated? Do your kids? Are we choosing to, for the most part, to live seperately? We have very distinct neighborhoods stores etc.? What has the MONTH accomplished? I gave a CHILD (without seeing color) a dollar to cover his bill at checkout. I heard him outside exclaiming to someone how that WHITE lady helped him and smiled. "She aint even looked bad at me. She say no problem and just give it to me." I am ashamed that these kids are treated poorly by "my people." I am now compelled to write a piece on this subject, I look forward to YOUR comments.
