Living wage and minimum wage. What's the answer? To live in anything more than a one bedroom apartment in my experience you'd need three minimum wage jobs.

Why is minimum wage so low and what would happen if it was raised?

Okay US citizens & patriots; I just want to know why our so-called public servants i.e., senators, congressmen, attorney general(s), or the so-called conservative talking heads etc. won’t take on the Federal Reserve’s ponzy scheme; that intentionally creates our exponential artificial inflation thus not allowing the US dollar an intrinsic value; and the illegality and unconstitutional income tax? (Read: The Creature from Jekyll Island!) Oh! And why this book and many others like it; that present facts and truths that can set us free, are not available in public libraries, schools, colleges, etc?

It’s easy enough to figure out, I did. But can you…?
If you can, tell us.

Thank you..

I have recently read about all the corporate people imprisoned lately. No names, because I'm terrible with them. . .Anyways, what do you think about the "hardships" these people must face? They ramble on about how tough it is, and on and on and on about how they were imprisoned unjustly. Now, I know next to nothing about their "accomadations" (sp?), but I have heard that they have it a heck of a lot easier than thieves, etc. And imprisoned justly? Some, maybe, but I am sure that some of these people had it coming. I'm sure a nice chunk of them get out on good behavior or "monetary causes". Is this really fair? That money can buy freedom and escape from punishment? People of status and power and money especially should not be considered above and beyond the law. To me, this gives new meaning to "Justice is Blind". These days, justice has been given a push into oncoming traffic, and there's no seeing eye dog to help them now. . .

Without France the United States would not have defeated the British during their revolution. Without the United States France would be part of the Nazi, German Empire. The two countries seem to love each other when it is convenient, but most of the time they seem to be at odds with each other. I was just wondering why?

I have to write a paper for my economics/government class about whether or not the Pledge of Alligiance and other national symbols should have all references to God removed. In my paper, I have to choose one side and argue that side. However, I'm still at the point that I am jumping back and forth. So I wanted to see what you guys thought, and maybe you had some information that I could use to help me decide and possibly use in my paper. All answers are appreciated. Thanks!

I just wanted to know since you have shown what it was like for israeli soldiers during the war, are you going to show what it was like for the people of Qana during the war? Are you going to show the suffering of people in Beirut? How about the entire southern half of Lebanon? I am sure you are aware of how many people were killed there aren't you? So, you will have quite a few pictures/stories to show there. I think in all fairness, we should present both sides of the story rather than just show what Israeli soldiers have suffered, we should show what the cities in Lebanon and the people in Lebanon have suffered and will suffer. I am also curious as to do you know the exact figure of how many Lebanonese were killed? Because no one seems to know that figure, I wonder why? Thanks for taking the time to read my question. Will be waiting impatiently for your answers.

I am just shocked to read some responses about political questions. I find it so pathetic how people whole-heartedly stand up for our government and their behavior and demean people who bring up corruption or anything negative. I can't stand how so many people follow our leaders so blindly and argue for them, but don't know a thing about what this war, the government, or history. They call us "liberals" like it's a dirty word, but they don't even know the definition of liberal. What are all these people going to do when they wake up and realize they too are being lied to and manipulated? What is with the ignorance? It's like so many people hold strong to a religion such as Christianity, but have never read the Bible. Is it "normal" for people to just believe what they see or hear?

think of the reality of warfare. Rascism. unfair distribution of wealth and difference from workers class, race, and labor type, making the manual laborer more of a tool, while the intellect whom was given everything too and or/ exploited for earning and profits makes the best of the situation. it was a proven fact by Karl Marx and you may either see a Utopia to the matter wich Nationalism portrays and Capitalism, or see the reality everywhere you look. the police, "Protect and Serve" capitalism....why the "minorities" to be labled as from first being brought here and coming here illegal or not. majority is black and hispanic. diabetes is most common due to poverty and with poverty comes harsh living conditions. Fast food restaurants such as Mc Donalds and Jack in the box are most common in poverty stricken enviroments...olive gardens, dining restaurants, subways and bigger more healthier and ofcourse more expensive nurishment is found in richer areas, ruling class or middle class....

Assuming that...:
*Being a college/university graduate, specifically having majored in Political Science (with a concentration in International Affairs).
*Using topographic maps of the Earth's oceans.
*Securing large private investments.
*Hiring leading specialists in various fields of Earth Sciences, also a team of offshore construction workers.
*By chance/luck, finding a seamount or a semi-submerged reef (with the relocation of any rare sealife), or by buying an out-of-commissioned oil rig. Any of these within 'international waters'.
*Purchasing and obtaining the materials needed to build a small artifical island.
*Doing dredging operations somewhat similar to what occurred to Dubai's artifical resort islands and Hong Kong International Airport, within the last 15 years.
*Making the artifical island fit for building operations upon it, such as implementing a small permanent population.
*Finding a suitable and sustainable economy, such as aquafarming.
*Issuing currency
Etc.
