The Anglo-Saxon's came from the Germanic lands north of Rome. They took over the land that today is called England. I have never heard of the Jewish tribe theory and upon hearing it now I don't believe it is true. Most presidents of the United States have been WASPs. The only one that was not a Protestant was JFK. There are also Presidents like Dwight D. Eisenhower who was of German decent and Andrew Jackson was an Irish Protestant. To be a WASP makes it much easier to be President. However, you do not have to be a WASP to be President.

W.A.S.Ps were protestants which means that they were members of the Presbyterian, Congregationalist, and Episcopal (Anglican) churches. They are not a jewish "tribe"; they are christian. Not sure where you heard they were a jewish tribe, but that's wrong.
As for the second question: they don't have to have a w.a.s.p. origin, but they do have to be born in this country.
Finally, yes we elect the presidents...techically. There are two types of votes: electorial and popular. What we do when going to the voting machines is the popular vote. Whenever a candidate wins the popular vote in a state, that state's electorial votes (based on the number representatives the state has) go to the winner of the popular vote. There is one, maybe two states that have an exception to this rule, but I don't remember which.

Are not not even bothering to read the words....?
White. Caucasian. Not middle eastern.
Anglo-Saxon. Descended from Anglicans (British) and Saxons (a particular Germanic tribe). Not middle eastern.
Protestant. A member of the Protestant, rather than Catholic, church. The Church of England, Anglicans, were the first and currently strongest branch of the protestant church in England. Not Jewish.
John F. Kennedy was the first Catholic president, with most of the rest in modern times (since the mid-1800s) being followers of one of the Protestant churches.
And no. We don't elect Presidents. Read the Constitution, Article II and the 12th Amendment.

What??
I think you are confusing two different things. WASP is a slang term that is based in religion - no president can be elected (legally anyways) on his religion alone. Most don't specify what religion they are - just if they are "Christian" or not. Christian is many different religions - catholic, protestant, lutheran, methodist, episcopalian, and so on.
If WASP was used in history to define a "tribe" of people, I don't really think that they are one in the same as the slang term. If they are, then I think the spirit of the term has definitely changed over the years.

You really should read your text book and do your own homework. Don't you know your teacher has access to your internet activity and you won't get points for cheating?
