think of the reality of warfare. Rascism. unfair distribution of wealth and difference from workers class, race, and labor type, making the manual laborer more of a tool, while the intellect whom was given everything too and or/ exploited for earning and profits makes the best of the situation. it was a proven fact by Karl Marx and you may either see a Utopia to the matter wich Nationalism portrays and Capitalism, or see the reality everywhere you look. the police, "Protect and Serve" capitalism....why the "minorities" to be labled as from first being brought here and coming here illegal or not. majority is black and hispanic. diabetes is most common due to poverty and with poverty comes harsh living conditions. Fast food restaurants such as Mc Donalds and Jack in the box are most common in poverty stricken enviroments...olive gardens, dining restaurants, subways and bigger more healthier and ofcourse more expensive nurishment is found in richer areas, ruling class or middle class....

Communism was Marx's answer to what he perceived as injustice. The problem is that he was mistaken. His thesis was that workers do not derive the full value of their labor in wages, and that they are therefore being cheated; the only way to fix this was to have society in general be the employer, so that the excess value would be available to the whole society rather than just the employer. The problem with this notion is that it supposes that only labor creates value. This is, of course, wrong: trade also creates value. If you go to the store and pay a buck for a loaf of bread, it is clear that value has been created: you wanted the bread more than the buck, and the storekeeper wanted your money more than the bread. Both of you now have things that are more valuable to you as a result. Clearly, this applies to labor also: it is true that the employer gets more value for your labor than he pays you in wages, but it is equally true that you value the money more than you value your labor: were it not so, you would quit. Marx's error is by far the most expensive mistake that anyone has ever made in all of human history: the cost has run to trillions of dollars, and tens of millions of lives, and is continuing to increase every day.

As the gap between rich and poor increases, more and more resources will be devoted to serving the rich, because they can afford to pay. This leaves less and less resources left to provide goods and services for the average person. This is the biggest problem with capitalism. It is unable to properly assign priorities to the things a nation needs because of the gap between how much people can spend. So you see poor farmers being asked to grow coffee or flowers, because the rich can pay big bucks for them, instead of growing food for the hungry.

The only problem with communist states of the past is that they didn't preserve democracy. If they had kept democratic institutions strong, they would have fared much better and had much more support from their people.

China is extremely capitalist all the while using communist propaganda. In China there is a larger gap between the wealthy and the poor than there is in the US! Not to mention the government is sponsoring capitalism at the expense of the working class.

Communism should be put into practice. But we should not see it as state-capitalism, such as Cuba, China, the USSR, ect. Communism will allow people to live free, with there basic needs covered.

Communism simply does not work. The U.S.S.R. was a total failure. The only reason communism works in Cuba is because no matter how bad it is, it is still much better than it was before Castro took power. China has moved away from communism and more to a capitalist economy.

Wow, someone wrote a book. All I can say is that Communism is a great idea in theory, but it never works out in reality. Capitalism has it's problems, too, but I'd rather be in a somewhat off Capitalist gov't than a somewhat off Communist gov't.

Hate to burst your bubble alessandro, but communism fails everywhere it's been tried. If you're a lazy bum, then capitolism will not help you even with all the free food stamps and welfare checks.
