you are so absolutely right most do not have a clue take GWB for instance how many know what he done before he was Governor he was a CEO of the Bin Laden Group here in USA according to a documentary i saw he and his father have had ties with the Arab community for years before they became presidents so how hard is it to figure who's side they are on ours or there's just take a look at the lie we have been told like we went to war to take out Sadom because he had all these weapons of mass destruction well where are they they wasn't there to start with it was a rouge to take out the administration to put in someone favorable to there side meaning oil control. If you don't believe me look at what the price of gas was before he took office at the time Clinton left and what it is now and who is benefiting from it sure isn't us. As i use to work in the domestic oil fields till they regulated us out and now mostly all that is left is the big corporations the independents is gone and who own the big companies that's right they are Arab owned including one of the biggest Exxon Mobile. Yes i am a liberal and proud of it.

Friend, the conservatives would just blow anyone who Bush said was an enemy into a million little piece, without question. They may have a lot of experience or not and they may sincerely believe what they say and do, but you are right, they do not know what a Liberal is or how we got to be liberal.
First Rule, Combat Veterans are not to be argued with or corrected. They earned their right to have an opinion and be listen to which is more than they got coming home from the Vietnam War.
But, this tin horn neoconservatives are mostly nerds, and they are afraid to go in the military and put their *** on the line. They are clever, but they don't realize you can't kill your way into peace.
I don't care how badly you have been treated, you can not buy safety with money or bombs.
Because you are either working toward peace by being peaceful or you are working toward war by being belligerent and threatening.
Hang in there Liberals. We got this guys on the run. I do kinda feel bad for Rove. What is he going to do when he can't steal, rob and lie his way into hell with that smug expression on his fat little face. LOL

People are like sheep, but you have to remember the tremendous effect the media has on us. We had our John Waynes and now our other screen and TV "heroes" who we start looking up to as impressionable kids. A liberal, like me, sees the immediate problems, the local problems in the world, and tries to act locally (think globally, right). People get their opinions from the parents and friends too, and generally do not seem to take the unpopular stance of going against the flow of opinion. Insofar as religion is concerned, to me, religion has created more wars than land--look at the middle east if you have doubts. I am proud to be liberal, to help those poor where I can--to be a psychologist who is willing to see the poor for free and put into my community when and where I can. Money is only coupons--it honestly cannot bring true happiness (although it doesn't hurt either--I'm not an idiot), but we need to get our priorities straight. I agree with you.

People tend to go with what ever is pushed in their faces. The republicans have done a good job of jumping on the religious rights bandwagon and all their fanatics,if you say you are a Christin and lie its OK because all you have to do is cry and say oh I'm sorry and they believe it.I truly don't think they do see or if they do I think they believe they are disobeying god somehow and push the lucid thoughts right out of their minds.I too am amazed at such blind loyalty to a man and an administration that doesn't give a rats behind about any one except what they can use them for our get out of them.Any Mexican American must see that Bush doesn't care about you or your people, and is only pandering to you just to get your support then when you are of no more good to him he will cast you aside like a used tissue ,he hates Blacks, just look at Katrina,he doesn't care about the truth he lies about everything. They found no WMD,they haven't got binladin, its all lies.Fabrication and distortions of the truth.used only to his advantage.
I am liberal ,and so help me I just wish for once people would look at Bush the way we and the rest of the world sees him.He is an ignorant person being mutilated by people much smarter and much worse than he is.The only truth you will believe is when this country and her proud history fall around your feet among the ashes of World War 3....
And sand you are right,I do think people are that blind, until its too late.. remember Nazi Germany,I do.

I cannot understand it either. It escapes me at most times, that people can be so ignorant, or at least naive.
Pearl harbor: Knew about it, purposely did nothing.
Vietnam :Lied about the attack on our ship. Illegal police action.
Waco Texas: He offered for them to check the guns registration. They refused, many people were killed. Including 3 ATF agents, that on video, appear to be killed by one of their own.
Oklahoma city: Government employees warned not to go to work, obvious lies about the explosive device used, not releasing the camera footage for "national security". Sound like how you would treat a bombing by a criminal?
World trade center first attack: The man who set it up actually released tapes of conversations he had with people in the FBI, who supplied the explosives as a "sting operation." They gave them REAL explosives, and didn't stop them from detonating.
World trade center 2001: I'm sure your all aware of the questions surrounding this.
Pentagon 2001: You know the classic arguments I am sure, but once again, security footage never being released....Why?
These are the just major ones, look into history and you will be surprised as what to really happened, compared to what you were told.

Come on...Do you truly think that most people are ignorant of the facts? Do you think that there are THAT MANY people who are so blind as to support everything that our government does, without exception and without criticism? Do you think people would just roll over and accept manipulation and lies without reacting? And do you think that YA represents a true cross-section of Americans' opinions?
You seem to have a very low (unwarrantedly so) opinion of your fellow Americans' intelligence.
IMHO, most Americans' views are a mixture of liberal and conservative.
Although there are some actions of our government I defend, there are also some I, personally, harshly criticize.
Life is unfair. We will never live in a perfect world. We all need to get over those facts, treat our fellow countrymen and -women (liberal and conservative) with respect, and do our best regardless of how we feel.

Most people cannot see outside of their little worlds. They don't think about things beyond the ball game, school, or work. The war is not about them ... it is somewhere else and soldiers and politicians will take care of all that. The media does free and independent reporting, but will not alert their audience to things that could affect their income from big business and politicians who are also on the payroll of big business.
Oil...the final solution...if we don't have it, we're dead...if we don't need it, they're dead...or will we nuke it out? We need a Manhattan project to break our "addiction to oil."
The solution to the terrorist problem is neighborhood watches that help the police find the terrorist. Know your neighbors.

Hello, we have a freedom of opinion and some people happen to believe in the government. Why can't they speak out about it while you are allowed to blast your opinion. You need to learn not everyone thinks the same thing and we are all different. There are different views out there!
