Would it be cheaper to hire independent contractors to work and pay them with our tax money ourselves. I'm just surious how much of our money ends up at cocktail hour of our tax paid representatives.

I saw a video on Fox News where somebody took Bush speeches and put in a laughter soundtrack from a comedy club underneath, where it looks like he's doing stand-up, but saying all these solemn things and people are laughing hysterically at him. Does anybody have the link to this video? I've looked on Google and Youtube but haven't found it yet. If you've got it, please post the link!

In order for someone to receive money from FEMA their county and state has to be declared a federal disaster. What would the people down there do if they weren’t declared?

How would they then find a way to pay their own rent?
How would they then find a way to repair their own home?
Would they then be more adamant in finding a job?
Would most of them be homeless?
Would they still complain?
Would they be hesitant to take FEMA for granted?
Would the poverty percentage increase in New Orleans?

I am eager to find out what some people think. Some of you all may think I am being cruel but who gives a damn what the f**k you think. This question is serious and not to be taken as an attack so with that being said, only serious mature people with decent point of views on the Katrina catastrophe please answer. I would like to know your view or debate of the entire issue. If you are going to attack me instead don’t bother because you’ll only get reported.

If so, is that why the republicans passed the tax cuts that favor the wealthy?
Was this just a ploy to cement power in hands of republicans?
Does this tax legislation reward their friends and punish their enemies?

This guy on the bus told me that in the past Americans actually had to fight for their rights to make their lives better. That doesn't make any sense. Why didn't they just go to some place where life was already good? I don't believe him.

Is there any act of Treason that President Bush could blatantly commit that you would not stand behind?

I regretably voted for him myself, but as soon as I saw his true nature I opposed him. What would it take for a staunch Bush defender to turn against him?

My dad works for the post office, and for my entire life my life has been run by the post office. My dad missed out on a lot of important things for me because the post office called him in and told him that they were more important. Now that I'm a teenager it's kind of too late to have those dad and daughter times like I wished there to be. Our whole family is getting fed up with him giving up all his saturdays (he has seven a year that he doesn't work) and going in for someone who suddenly has an issue. He's missed going on trips because of it too. I'm not sure if this is like this around the US, but it is where I live, and my family isn't the only one who feels this way, there are countless others too.

Some of the laws the government says are crimes are immoral while others are not. How do you classify and define the latter. Also, how would you educate someone on the distinction between the two since so many people tend to see them both as the same thing when in truth they may not be.
