They feel that they have a right since they are "celebrities" and are for the people. Their thinking is totally messed up.

Part of it is a superiority complex that we the public give them by holding them in high esteem for being good at pretending they are some one else. This leads them to believe that most of us want to hear what they think. The other is that where ever they are there will be a camera, and a television show willing to air the tapes of their comments. I am all for everyone getting involved in whatever cause they believe in I just wish we would stop putting these people on some kind of elevated platform.

for the same reason politicians do--they love the power of being in the public eye. I believe if you look in the dictionary under the word "narcissistic" you will get a better understanding.

Most of these people are a household name and they count on the voters to put the face with the campaign slogan so you can vote for them.
