The word "minorities" has the stench of the Democratic party on it. The dems practice a divide and conquer approach to politics, keeping tension between the clasess and instilling and "us vs. them" mentality.

The Republican party welcomes AND benefits all Americans.

Many used to think that was the case, however, look at what the Dems have NOT done for minorities in the past 10 to 40 years and it is obvious the minorities have been USED by the Democratic Party.

In my opinion, the party you vote for or belong to should be whichever one most closely matches your feelings on how issues should be handled. Put another way, how they're going to help society at large, not you personally. It's a lot like Pres. Kennedy's Inaugural Speech, "Ask not what your country can do for you...": it's not what party is going to do the most for you, but which is going to do the most for the issues you care about. And I think that the Republican Party is just as open and welcoming to minorities. Just remember that any party you choose is going to have its ideological compass set, and it's not going to always match your feelings on a subject. That's when we should vote for a different party. My parents (life-long Republicans) always taught me to vote my conscience on an issue, not for one party or another. It's never led me wrong.

It is your best option because they are big. You could go for a more local and small party, but they won't necessarily win against the big sharks that's the republican and democrat in your area. The views of the republicans rarely benefits the minorities.

Although the phrase was played out the dems are all limousine liberals. They don't care about the poor, they keep them helpless and use them at election time.

The Democratic party is a sham!

The democrats are filled with a bunch of elitists now. The republicans have been fighting for the actual minority rights and have been attempting to prove so for years.
