What I find objectionable in your question is not that you are a liberal or a conservative - your views - but that you automatically assume that those that disagree with you are not intelligent or sincere. Just mind-numbed robots.
You don't have to agree with others' points of view. But you have to UNDERSTAND why they think as they do, rather than just insult them.
For instance, liberals frequently think people need the government to protect them from big business. Conservatives often think that people need protection from big government. Both sides are trying to protect from overreaching, in a way. They only differ on who they see as David and who they see as Goliath. But if you just say conservatives are taking bribes or liberals are trying to steal tax dollars, the argument doesn't progress past insults.
How do you want to change minds? ARGUE THE SUBSTANCE (if you are capable) and stop making such foolish generalizations. Talk about not using your head!
This goes for all liberals and conservatives who think as you do.

Where have you been? The majority of young people I meet are extremely Liberal, or they're too stoned or drunk (or both) to care. With all the Liberal influences in their lives (Movies, Music, TV, Liberal College Professors), I would think that a Conservative young person IS thinking for themselves. Aren't you Libs the ones who said "question authority"? Why, now, does that not apply when a few young people are questioning the authority of Liberals (Including their burnt out, Hippie parents)?
After 60+ years of Liberal Democrat rule in this country, people are finally waking up. The desperation in you're question shows what extreme control freaks you Libs are. If I were a Liberal I would suggest re-education camps and taking children away from their parents at the age of 5 so the State can raise them. Oh, but that would be Fascism, wouldn't it?

What's wrong with the conservative agenda? It seems to align closer to the original intent of the founders of this nation than any other agenda, especially the liberal agenda.
As for this crap about brainwashing and thinking, why do you feel it necessary to cavalierly dismiss your opponents as some type of subhumans? Why not just accept the fact that there are a lot of good, intelligent and logical reasons why a conservative agenda is supported? Does that frighten you or something?
I suppose that if you believed your opponents were human, then you might have to think they had reasonable justifications for their support of different ideas than yours, and thus you might be forced to defend and support your philosophy using facts and logic. Does that frighten you?
I'm ready to defend my positions without engaging in personal attacks on you. Can you say the same?

Do you honestly believe the democrats will protect our borders and contain countries that call for our destruction? If memory serves me right Clinton gave N.Korea hundreds of millions of dollars to stop nuclear enrichment of uranium and even offered them nuclear reactors and for 10 or more years they secretly built up a hidden nuclear program designed to build a nuclear bomb. Then there's Iran which Jimmy Carter allowed to take over our embassy and humiliate us around the world. Clinton bombed empty terrorist camps in Afghanistan after the USS Cole attack and said it was an appropriate response. Let's get real and understand that the world is a very dangerous place and countries that want to do us harm count on the Democratic party to grovel and beg for them to be nice to us. A government run by democrats is a government based on appeasement and is not a government geared to protect its people. I will never submit my freedom and life to end up praying to Mecca 5 times a day or learn Spanish or any other language other than English as a substitute for my countries existence. Remember the saying give me liberty or give me death? the democrats would rather have us speaking a foreign language than facing up to the threats posed by whacked out dictators and religious fanatics. I say we vote for the party that wants to keep the wolves away from the lambs don't you?

Resolution to your contrived dilema will not be through; John Kerry, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Michael Moore, Wesley Clark, or any of the Hollywood wierdos. I guess you're just stuck laying out the same ol garbage the DNC has been putting out for 30 years or more.
Besides, what's so bad about parents talking with their children, what you wish to call propaganda, about politics and values that have made this country the great nation that it is?

That's somewhat comical.
You could very easilly say the same thing about how the extreme and not so extreme left-wing proponents are shamefully influencing our youth today.
Keep it up... tell them exactly what they want to hear. Make it cool to bash their country... Tell them it's alright to protest the actions of our men and women and our country in the Middle East. It really doesn't matter that what you are doing is creating worse situations. That's alright though, someone else will clean up your mess someday... After all, they owe it to you, huh..

Perhaps what you label as "extreme right" isn't in actuality extreme. It may be considered extreme to you, but then maybe you can start looking at yourself and seeing what you believe in and if a majority agrees with you. Maybe in San Francisco, you'll be in the majority but perhaps not too many other places.
Once you stop being pi$$ed off about everything, you'll find yourself being less and less liberal. LOL

Simple: raise the voting age to 25 (like it was in 1789). By 25 years old, most people have figured out how to think for themselves. At 18 or 19, your mind is so much mush and you'll just go along with what you think is cool.
