Peace would be great, but it sure would put a lot of people out of work... (military, government contractors, police) these people would be unable to find work... poverty would shoot through the roof (along with the crime associated with poverty) and countries that were seen as "wealthier" would become the enemy and the process would start all over again.

Because people have a right to be free and when dictators or insane leaders threaten their freedom, they have a right to fight back. Americans live free because earlier Americans fought and died for us.
