Not that Belgium is the only European nation to have done crappy things in Africa, but what went on in the Congo was really over the top.

I don't know about our relations with ALL countries in the world but I DO know that we've had issues about North Korea forever. I also understand that they are a definite threat and have been a threat. Why oh why did we go after Saddam Hussein rather than P.............. (I don't know how he spells it - you know who I mean). Why are we allowing THEIR country to suffer? Maybe I am just ignorant and if so, I appreciate your input if you are knowledgeable on this subject. I realize I'm going to get bashed here and that's ok by me - don't care. I just really want to know. How do you feel about this?

Everyone knew he had them. He shot missles at Israel, used chemical weapons on his own ppl. It doesnt surprise me that we havent found them cuz iraq is the size of cali. i could easily hide a chemical weapon the size of a computer and it would be unlikely if it was found. face it we all know he had them the weird thing is why ppl all of a sudden say he never had them even after we found mustard gas and seraphin gas in iraq during the war.

in my opinion, it will be total chaos, the 'good' iraqis and their fragile new govt will get slaughtered. How do we clean this up?

Doesn't raise taxes to pay for the wars; why is he borrowing money in the form of bonds to pay for the conflicts we are in. I want to know how Republicans feel about the Bush administration borrowing more money (1.05 Trillion) then all other Administrations Washington through Clinton (1.01 Trillion) combined.

We have found 500 units of WMD since the war began. The liberals are now saying that those WMD's are not what we were looking for when we went to war, and that Bush still lied. (bush didn't send us to war, the United States Congress did) will the liberals ever face the truth and stop the double talking, stop the rambling off on topics nothing to do with the one in question, think logically, and see the war the way it really is?

Our jobs are going overseas, our natural resources are going overseas and made in to products that are then sent back and sold to Americans. Many of these countries sell us stuff that their own people can't afford to buy, but their people are hired at low wages to make the stuff - because corporations have convinced the world that it is necessary to compete in a global economy - but in fact it is just to put more money in their own pockets at the expense of the American workers standard of living.

Would we be better off if we closed our borders to foreign products and forced American companies to use American workers?

I've been noticing lately how a lot come online and immediately take sides. We are like.. liberal this or neocon that... Do you ever stop and think maybe this is what big brother wants?

I mean like as long as we are fighting, we aren't actually solving anything or any differences or coming to any sort of understanding between the different sides.

First it was the Veterans database with the information of over 24 million veterans. Next was the theft of 2.2 million American soldiers. I have been on both sides of those tracks so I am a little worried about who has my information. Most recently, today actually was the theft of The Department of Agricultures personnel database. Does anyone see a pattern here?

If the market should regulate what is on the news... why are all the channels full of "liberal bias"... shouldn't the market regulate its self and kick these networks out?

I mean they are clearly making money or they wouldn't be on the air any more... are there that many liberals out there to keep up all the "bias media" that is out there?

If they weren't telling the truth, then no one would watch... if no one watches... then they will close down, since they can't opperate without money...

I just don't understand how such a huge bias can occur in a capitalist system?

Unless you think capitalism doesn't work? Are you all commies?

To Kill an American

You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So an Australian dentist wrote the following to let everyone know what an American is, so they! would know when they found one. (Good on ya, mate!!!!)

An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani, or Afghan. An American may also be a Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American is from the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each person the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need. When Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country.!

As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.

Americans welcome the best, the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best athletes. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America, The Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. I've been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 other countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and every bloodthirsty tyrant in the history of the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

Am Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American. I am George Carlin.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid level governmental functionary, be it Democratic or Republican!

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, try to do it in English.

I think fireworks should be legal on the 4th of July.

I think that being a student doesn't give you any more enlightenment than working at Blockbuster. In fact, if your parents are footing the bill to put your pansy *** through 4 years plus of college, you haven't begun to be enlightened.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

It is right, or a little corrupt, or is it a really a one sided view of a situation for a specific party? Is the media as a whole against the government or just President Bush and his group?
