Che Ernesto Guevara was a Revolutionary who believed, fought and died for freedom, equal rights and justice. A doctor by profession and an Argentine by birth. But most remarkably a guerrilla war expert and philanthropist. He was a close friend and confidant of Fidel Castro Ruz. He fought alongside Castro and other fellow revolutionaries in the Cuban guerrilla / revolutionary war which brought the end of the notorious dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista whose reign came to an end when he fled Havana on the 31st of December 1958.

On 1st January 1959, Castro and his comrades took over Moncada Barracks and thus began a new era in Cuban History.
Che was made a Minister in Castro's Cabinet, but after a short while Che left Havana to continue his campaign against oppression. He has fought alongside several other comrades in several Latin American countries.

He died in Bolivia, in the hands of the CIA it is believed. May his generous soul rest in peace. He was a remarkable person, a writer, photographer, philosopher, humanist & philantropist.

Che met him before the Cuban revolution (I THINK it was in mexico), and Che was his right hand man throughout the revolution. After the revolution, Che worked Castro as the commander of a prison, an official at the National Institute of Agrarian Reform, President of the National Bank of Cuba and other important posts. Che eventually fell out with Fidel and went to be a revolutionary and bring about socialism elsewhere.

They were both communists who were dedicated to overthrowing Fulgencio Batista to return Cuba to the people. Che was Argentine and Castro was Cuban. They met in Mexico where Che became part of the July 26 movement. They became good friends and when they did take over Cuba, Che held the honor of being a commandante. He trained soldiers and tried to export the Cuban revoltution to Bolivia and the Congo. He also represented Cuba internationally. He and Castro remained friends until his death in 1967. Che was also Cuba's Minister of Industries.

I believe Raul introduced them. Fidel was in prison when Raul and Che met in Mexico. Fidel was inside for attacking a police station. They had similar goals but when Fidel became president he had to become more focused and perhaps you could call it grown up. Che was an idealist and wanted to export revolution world wide.

Che was a rival to Castro, so he pushed him out of the country. Castro probably figured Che would get bumped off in Bolivia, that's why he encouraged him to go. The moral of the story is don't be friends with commies.

i don't know all the details, but... che and castro are both cuban, they fought for revolution and che is regarded as the fight strategist among the two. fidel was more the one who wanted the power.
i personally don't understand why che is so revered if he knew what kind of person fidel was when he helped him to get into power.

Che was attracted to the benefits of egalitarianism during his time in south america and his belief in egalitarianism made him more inclined to join forces with the castro brothers in cuba
