First it was the Veterans database with the information of over 24 million veterans. Next was the theft of 2.2 million American soldiers. I have been on both sides of those tracks so I am a little worried about who has my information. Most recently, today actually was the theft of The Department of Agricultures personnel database. Does anyone see a pattern here?

I believe there is a huge undertaking in progress, that aims at tracking down past United States government employees in order to establish a case in the near future when the USA is put on trial for war crimes. You have to know your enemy and someone is surely trying to get to know us.

There were thousands of car thefts during that same period and many murders.

Data theft is a little more recent and so the pattern isn't quite as set yet, but some people will cheat and kill and steal and our systems of security and justice will not catch or stop all of them.

So, yes, I see a pattern. The same pattern that has been around since humans invented property. And no, I don't think there is some big conspiracy, master criminal, or new great cause for alarm.
