I'm a patriotic guy in my mid-twenties. I will soon be living near an air force base. Some friends and me want to do something to support the troops stationed there but I don't know what they would appreciate. Any ideas?

Hello, sorry for all the questions lately. Only asking the ones the recruiter can't answer. He tells me that SEALS learn field medicine in training but couldn't answer any specifics about course length, content, etc...Since seals no longer require prior source ratings I am guessing they won't have as many corpsman apply. Does anyone know how it works with medical care in the field? That is one thing that I really like about pararescue, over SEALS, is the paramedic training. However I like many of the clandestine type of missions SEALS do...hostage rescue and the like. Tough choice for me. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks all for taking the time to answer. ~Chris

My husband got an assignment to D.C. over a year and a half ago. We were suppose to leave in August but his orders are constantly being pushed back, which has left us in limbo for a very LONG period of time. We don't know if we are staying or going and it is starting to effect our personal lives. We told our landlord we would be moving and he's getting ansy...with each deadline passing his orders still hasn't been dropped. He keeps trying to get some information on the assignment but everyone keeps saying it is out of their hands. What can we do, it is really stressful!?

And yes his chain of command has been involved.

I am in the Air Force ROTC program and will be commissioned as an officer soon after my graduation. Is anyone familiar with fraternization rules and can tell me if my boyfriend and I will still be allowed to date? We love each other very much, but we also don't want to break any rules. Please help!

When oil runs out, what source of power will allow the US to maintain their air superiority? What are they doing about it now?

On a different note, the Osprey is an abomination and a waste of money.

To begin with, im an illegal immigrant. I was brought here by my parents when i was 8. Please keep negative comments to yourself. Do i have to sign up for selective service regardless of my immigration status?

It's sad how some people say that illegal immigrants don't like the U.S., but I actually do love this country! I recite the pledge of alligence every single day and I speak, read and write English. And if i have to, i will defend this country.

Also when will the chance of Seals be mentioned since I'm really thinking hard about it? But for right now I'm in the reserves due to custody problems with my kid.Still wondering if I could get into the Seals? Another question if i change my mind with Seals will the chance of FMF be given and how do i go about to get into FMF? Thanks in advance for any responses and help.

Every time anyone asks a question here about atomic bombs anyone who thinks it was a good idea gets a dozen 'thumbs downs'. Well here's a chance to all those anti-nuke answerers out there. For anyone who thinks bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a bad idea, what was the alternative? Should we have invaded Japan? Should we have sat back and done nothing and let the Russians invade Japan (Do you think Japan would be better off now if we had done that and it was a communist country?). What alternatives did the Allied leaders have in 1945 if they had chosen NOT to drop the bomb? Japan was NOT legitimately negotiating a surrender prior to Hiroshima. How would we have won the war had we not used atomic weapons? Should we have continued carpet bombing their cities with conventional weapons, continuing to lose allied aircrew on every mission? What do you think we should have done?

I have no idea what to write. Like I do, but I don't know how to start off. I asked my teacher and he suggested starting my WW1 diary as if I was joining up: reasons, expectations etc. but I was sick for a lot of the lessons and he tried to explain as much as he could but still = |
It has to be 14 entries (i dont even know how I am going to end this!)

I am 19 years old and am completing my first semester of college. But right now I'm just not motivated and it is reflecting in my grades for the first time ever. I scored a 90 on the ABSVAB a year ago and since then recruiters have been contacting me and I was always interested in the Army Rangers and Special Forces. After much research and thinking I have decided that that is whats right for me. However my parents are furious with me and saying I am throwing away everything. I don't want to join without their appoval though since they have been there for me the past 18 years. What should I do?
