When oil runs out, what source of power will allow the US to maintain their air superiority? What are they doing about it now?

On a different note, the Osprey is an abomination and a waste of money.

By the time oil runs out, alternative means of energy will be released (we already have the technology, but won't release it to the public due to putting the oil companies out of business). We already have fuel cell, solar, ethanol, and even engines that run 100% on water...so oil running out isn't going to be "end all, be all" like most people think. Besides, there are enough satellites in orbit already that can be controlled and equipped by US and Coalition entities for the purpose of Air Superiority.

I'm in the AF and let me tell you, there is no stronger air force out there, I mean if there is, then god bless the souls of the enemy of THAT country.
I don't know about how much oil is put in for it, but it's called JP8 and it's a monster with a punch.
Want to know what uses a lot of fuel? The B1 Bomber uses 75% of it's fuel just leaving the ground, I see it like 90x a day, 50 foot long afterburns and rattles your spine into submission. Other than that, I can't answer your question to well but there's a wiff of air superiority for ya.
