She has to treat her comrades with their gunshot wounds etc. Then she has to treat the taliban who are brought in injured, only for them to go out and try to kill our men. What is wrong with this country. They would hardly do the same would they?

There are not enough people in the military to do both protect America and have all the people that needed in Iraq! Yes it is good to have a plan, but thinking about how it is going to work is important too!

I hear the question "if you support the Iraq war, why are you not there?" so much that I thought of a way to twist it.

Obviously Bush does not want to pull out, so why not get over there and help them win so they can come home? Sitting around and complaining is not going to defeat the inevitable. We pull out now and we'll be back in 5 years.

I would like to send my brother (Navy) some cookies, but I want them to be fresh when he gets them (takes one to two weeks). I have a great recipe, but the cookies are hard after one day, even if they are covered, it's just the way the recipe is... has anyone had success with a recipe that is still delicious when they get them overseas? Please, tried-and-true ones only....
thanks!

Ok here is the thing, I am a freshman at college, i have always wanted to go to the air force, but my parents are dead against it. Everytime i would tell them about it, they would turn me down, thinking it was all big joke and just stage im going through. Recently i have contaced an Air Force Recruiter, and really going to go forward with it. I want to become an Air Force Physician, but my parents dont want that and wants me to become a civilian physician.

so few days ago I told my parents, and now I hear my mom is really SICK, and its all my fault, because of the news. I am very confused and don't know what to do. Either follow my dreams or listen to my parents. And if I listen to my parents, I am 100% sure i won't ever keep any ties with them, I just wouldn't be able to forgive them.

So my question is, when will we learn to let children do what they think is the best for them, and stop trying to make decisions for them?

My husband joined the Air Force reserve 2 years ago. It wasnt what we thought...we wanted more, so we requested active duty. Our request was denied. We have since then had a child and and realized that we no longer want any part of the miltary. He has told them he wants out...and they to him to write a letter giving financial reasons of why, and the request will be considered. I havent wrote the letter yet, because im not sure what to say.

Someone with experience please help....I just want to get it all over with

I was wondering...... On my ASVAB I scored an overall 77 (or right around there) and in electronics I scored around an 87. I told my recruiter before the tests how I really wanted to do computers or electronics and with a score that well, you think I would be signed into the Electrical Aptitude area, but I was still signed into the DEP under the General Aptitude area. Is this some kind of shimmy to get me to do some job that is going to have nothing to do with what I was hoping to do? I would hate to waste 3 years of college, and over 20 Computer certifications to flip burgers or something..

Thanks

Was it Saladin or Richard Coeur de Lion? Or perhaps Baybars or even Godfrey de Bouillion?

Or may be another person? If so, then who? And why?

I surpass all the qualifications and then some. I can see red and green and any other color but certain shades of red and green i can't. Also, I failed thier color vision test. Does getting a waiver for being colorblind become easier if you don't have it bad? anyone who is in the army, really knows about waivers, and can truly answer this question would be a huge help.

After the fall of Atlanta, Hood moved northward to threaten the Western & Atlantic Railroad, Sherman’s supply line. He attacked a number of minor garrisons and damaged track during October 2-4. Sherman sent reinforcements—John M. Corse’s brigade—to Allatoona just before the Rebels attacked there. Maj. Gen. Samuel G. French’s Confederate division arrived near Allatoona at sunrise on the 5th. After demanding a surrender and receiving a negative reply, French attacked. The Union outer line survived a sustained two and a half hour attack, but then fell back and regrouped in an earthen “Star” fort of Allatoona Pass. French repeatedly attacked, but the fort held. The Rebels began to run out of ammunition, and reports of arriving Union reinforcements influenced them to move off and rejoin Hood’s force.
