I hear the question "if you support the Iraq war, why are you not there?" so much that I thought of a way to twist it.

Obviously Bush does not want to pull out, so why not get over there and help them win so they can come home? Sitting around and complaining is not going to defeat the inevitable. We pull out now and we'll be back in 5 years.

LEARN FROM HISTORY FOR IT REPEATS ITSELF!

Bush truely supports are troops. He thinks they have the ability to get the job done. You thinking that we cannot win is NOT support.

gooooood point. I was in the military. I know people that have been there in the last year and/or two. They know more about what is going on than those who like to make repetitive political statements.

People should not speak of that which they do not understand.

Bush's REASONS for this war have been nothing but PROVEN lies, and a SERIES of lies at that. That anyone can ignore the NUMEROUS FBI and CIA reports of the last 5 years that tear apart every lie Bush has told concerning Iraq is beyond me.

It's clear that we cannot just leave Iraq, now that we've messed the country up so badly. It would collapse. Yes, we need to win this. Then, we need to hold those occuppying the top seats of our government, the very same folks who founded PNAC, accountable for this crime. Thousands of our soldiers dead, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilian casualties, and still not an HONEST answer for this war.

All of his Constitutional changes either directly or indirectly affect U.S. CITIZENS, have further empowered the executive branch, have insulated the president against oversight, have protected the government from US, have protected us from NOTHING, and in fact have severly reduced the guarantee of our rights, liberties, and our protections from unfair treatment by our own government have all but been eliminated. Aparrently Bush views US as the threat.

Yes, history repeats itself, and bush has borrowed liberally from Nero and Hitler. Winning this war is not the solution. Holding Bush accountable, and Constitutionally preventing this from ever happening again is the soltution. Our forefathers warned us VERY SPECIFICALLY about the very things Bush is now doing.

I proudly wear my "Support Our Troops" T-shirts and all of the patriotic paraphernalia I can find and I too often am asked to go and fight myself. So, I tried to enlist but I am too damn old. So, I tried to do the next best thing...I am a professionally licensed social worker in my home state and offered my services to our troops returning home from war FOR FREE of charge....as a way to actually, physically show my support. I was turned down, COLD! Now, I can appreciate that for security purposes and in a world where everybody is out to make a buck, that my intentions may have appeared suspect but seriously! I want to actually SHOW my support and not just SAY it.

Yeah, right. I'll just hop on over there so I can get blown up in a roadside bomb and join the rest of the 3000+ dead American troops. Good idea!

Hey!!!! Here's a better one - why not just bring all the American troops back home so they can be with their parents, wives and children.

There is NO WAY to win over there, and the sooner people like you realise that, the better.

If you are so concerned about the troops, you'd want them home too. Since you're so pro-war, you must want the Americans to die over there. SICKO!!!!!!!!!!!

If we pull out now we will not be back in 5 or 10 years because they will be here. A pull out before the job is done will give the terrorist the will to come here to fight. They know that the libs are anti military so why should they be worried. I want to fight them there not HERE//

Well, I don't feel like dying for a war I've opposed from the start. Better point, Bush is Commander in chief? Let him go lead the troops into battle. Why not, no balls?
Besides, havn't you heard? We have enough troops in Iraq according to Donald Rumsfeld and the President. It's their war and, well, it's George Bush. He MUST be right! Lord high Pooba knows everything. Gosh,he's so dreamy.

I m not concerned about your troops but i m only worried about those innocent whome your "Great troops" are killing brutaly !!

Btw would you explain me what victory you are talking about?? who is the opposition there in iraq??? war is defind as armed hostilities between the two nations ...where is your enemy?? are you pointing those millions of innocent unarmed Iraqis which your army is killing daily??

Wow how brave you army is..i m impressed.........you should be proud of them that they are fighting such a "powerful" enemy !

You know what? you american look very selfish to me when you support war in iraq...which is totally wrong on first place......you do think of you peoples who move their with high techonolgy and guns and kill around as if they are doing some great deed but never think of those peoples who are their victims........think of your kids on iraqis place ! and think what would happend if your kids have to suffer that all !!...............but why would you think ?

"We pull out now and we'll be back in 5 years."

Someone finally gets it, thank you. It would probably be much sooner than 5 years.
