Cookie ... Seriously. Although it should not HAVE to be a requirement, many decisions made by those with no experience have hurt us badly and I get the feeling we'd be better off requiring they have the military experience. Just my opinion.

Very good question, Cookie. Thanks.

I agree. President is our Commander in Chief therefore, he should know and understand how the military works. He should also be either a lawyer, economist, or a businessman to understand how the law works and how the economy moves.

OH please please do make it a MUST!
Nothing gets the blood flowing to the lower abdominal areas, male or female, than a man with medals on his chest , fist raised in air hollering for blood.
All real men have been in the military or soon will be so lets just make it a "MUST" that they have to and while were at it if women want true equality then they have to learn to be equaly adept in the military sciences.
Did you ever notice how much more prominent medlas are if they are pushed forward by good muscular breast.
Lets make it a "MUST" serve the military to be called citizen, and everyone to show thier loyalty to them wear an Amerian flag but smaller than the ones True Citizens will have on their official red white and blue uniforms, the rest of people wear a dark grey. or some color that denotes ther lower status.
Why not make it a "MUST" that military dicipline begin in kindergarten with uniforms and be led by ex military trainers.
Why not make it a "MUST" that anyone who joins military have a mandatory 20 years until retirement and then be used within all departments of government, and be paid a retirement bonus along with their government pay.
Why not make it a "MUST" that the Nation have to take control of rest of world and instill our Democracy upon it.
why "MUST" we even have a two house Congress when all we need is one meritorious military council?
Why "MUST" we have a Supreme Court and not replace it with the Miltiary Code of Justice?
What is good enough for the Citizens and been defended by the taking of blood of so many others on earth should be good enough for rest of populace as well!
We "MUST" promote a ONE World Government
Ruled by those who understand the military or else the barbarians will destroy our Great Country.

That would be a disaster. The last thing we need is another progammable robot in office who's allegiance to military tactics is soooo hardened that he's too stupid to see the forest for the trees. We already have that now and look where it has gotten us.

We need a smart diplomat with some balls. Somone who will make the real hard decisions in this country that this president ran away from, like protecting our borders and calling up a draft.

I wouldn't say its a must, although I would prefer it. As of right now I am voting for McCain, who has military experience. This is something he has over his opponents. And not just experience, but TOUGH experience. He spent 6 years in as a POW, its amazing that he is still alive.

Well the ELECTED president DID, and did it well, and they swiftboated him, and the dictator that "won" has an unfulfilled Air Guard commitment. It can be a few brownie points, but MUST is too strong a requirement.
