I'm a current college student, i'm almost done with my basics but after that, i have no idea what I want to major in.(But I do want to finish college.)I was considering joining the Air Force since i'm not sure what I want to major in right now. And I can take classes while in the AF.Also I already have $16,000 in student loans. I found online that they will pay up to $10,000 in student loans. Anyone in the AF here, and have any personal experiece with them and going to college, and having the AF pay the money the recruiters promise you. Is there time to attend classes and study even?

Our son, in the California National Guard, was just called up. So we are very biased now in this matter. But the way Bush talks, your sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, friends could be next.

I am going to join the National Guard this upcoming summer and have until then to prepare. I am in very good shape running-wise. I can run a mile in the 4's and two miles in the 10's. However, I am very light for my height (6'2'') and am right on the line for the weight requirement. The requirement for my height is 139lbs, which is my weight. I also am sadly lacking in strength- I can barely bench 90lbs. Help! What do I need to do to prepare? I'm only seventeen years old, so certain things I am not able to do- keep this in mind. Thanks.

in my opinion, its the battle of longewala
it was fought between indian and pakistani forces in the 1971 war
basically about 5000 pakistanis supported by about a hundred tanks attempted to overrun a small outpost manned by an odd company of about 120 soldiers....
by the next morning though only three of the indians had died while the pakistanis had suffered heavy casualties
then by dawn the air force was able to come and destroyed about sixty tanks, resulting in the largest tank loss to any country (pakistan) after world war two...
oh yah and by the way it was an indian victory
oh well thats my opinion time to hear yours

day, i sat down to eat, i stupidly looked around the chow hall, the drill instructor saw me, and before i put the first spoonful of food in my mouth, after a hard day of basic training, he whispered in my ear that i was DONE. this is an illegal procedure he done. my question is, how would this make me a better fighting man by telling me to throw my food away and go into formation?

Do you believe on the United Nations as arbiter in resolving conflicts?
Do you believe that the UN is effective in this role?. If not why?.
Do you think that UN resolutions are favorable to some nations but unfair for others?.
Do you think that small and poor nations are well reprented in the UN's decision making?.
Do you agree that small nations should have the same veto power as big nations?.
If something need to be re-organized in the UN's structure to be more effective, can you mention some of them?.

On August 6, 1945-Harry S. Truman decided to drop a bomb on the Japanese city, Hiroshima. In doing so, he says to have saved many lives that would later be killed in further war. Do you think this man should be prosecuted as a war criminal, or merely be aknowledged as a war hero?

I am asking this because some co-workers and i were just talking about it and we all agree that prisoner's who have been sentenced to serve maximum amount of years up to life or on death row should be sent to war instead of the men & woman who have families and a life waiting for them at home. And then if help were needed, then the troops at home could be drafted. I think that because citizens are already paying tax dollars to keep prisoners in prison and or to build new prisons with our tax dollars, why not put them to good use? It could be a 50/50 chance for a prisoner too. If i were a prisoner serving a 25-life sentence and i had the chance to go fight in iraq for 3-years and came back to america as a free person, that my debt would be paid to society?....i would definately do it! What do you think? Should it become a political issue we as people could vote on, would you vote yes or no?
