Ft. Jackson S.C.?

I'm considering moving to Columbia S.C., near Ft. Jackson. Can anyone tell me where there better parts of Columbia and surrounding areas are?

I live on base at Fort Jackson and have been here awhile. If your looking for places close there is Five Points. That is downtown, and has lots of places to rent, but it is a party area. There is also the summit or Sandhill, they are higher class areas of Columbia. On Forest Drive, which is where the main gate to Fort Jackson is, there are a lot of places to live/rent.
